INTRODUCTION
Background
Equality and diversity is the term which used to be one of the biggest concern for all the
organization in current scenario. As it get difficult for all the organization to maintain or promote
equality in the firm. Specifically gender pay gape is the issue which is generally faced by all
organization in today's to maintain the same in the organization. Asda, biggest retailer firm in the
UK is also having the same difficulty in an organization. As they are also finding it difficult to
identify causes of gender pay gape in the organization. Report highlights the project management
plan and also identified research methodology for the project and point view of the author on the
topic. After that report highlights the Data interpretation and the recommendation for the project.
Aim and Objectives
Aim: “To look into different issue which is faced by organization due to higher gender pay gape
at workplace - A study on Asda”
Objectives:
To examine gender pay gape in organization
To determine different benefit which is brought by equality and diversity for Asda
To analyse the negative striking of gender pay gap at Asda.
To ascertain different issues faced by Asda Plc at the time of managing gender pay gape.
To recommend the best way through which company may overcome challenges.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN
Project management plan is a document which used to define the execution of the project in an
organization. Project management plan used to define different stages of the project i.e.
execution, monitor and controls.
Cost: It is the object of the management plan which used to define the amount of the
monetary benefit which has to be invested by the research for the purpose of carrying out project
in better manner (Foster, 2019). For carrying out this research the researcher will require 260, as
there will be many sorts of cost which will include in the project that is transportation cost,
internet cost, procure raw material.

Scope: It is the section which used to describe the importance and vision which will be
brought by this study in an organization. This will provide a support to organization in
understanding the variety of positive point which is brought by equality and diversity in firm.
Also this help firm in understanding the the ways through which equality can be brought into the
organization. This helps company in providing assist to the alternative research if any done in the
future.
Time: This is the element of plan which defines the time which will be require by the
research to complete the research in an organization (Morden, 2017). For completing the current
research researcher will take 168 days in total. Total schedule of different activity are defined in
the work breakdown system and gantt chart.
Quality: This is the element of plan which defines the quality of the resources which is
used by the researcher to carry out the scholar in stable way. For this researcher has used the skill
labourer and advance technology to carry out the outcome of the research.
Communication: It is the type of the element which used to show the way different
stakeholder in the project will be communicating with each other in an organization. This is
generally maintained in the organization so that all the member in the organization are clear so
that organization can meet the objective in the better manner.
Risk: This element of plan used to define the different type of risk involve in carrying out
the outcome of the research in an organization. All the researcher in real used to maintain a risk
register in the organization to minimize the impact of risk in an organization. Also, they try to
communicate every different type of the risk to all the stakeholder in the organization.
Resources: It is the element of the project which used to define the different tool which
will used organization to carry out the outcome of the research. This tool eventually help
researcher in completing the project on time. Different type of the resources which will be used
by the researcher in carrying out the research in the organization are human resource,
technological resources and financial resources. To procure human resource the researcher will
look to have skilled labour force in an organization and researcher will also look to have advance
technology in an organization to carry out research.

to achieve outcomes of research programme.
Research philosophy
This is the most significant part of research methodologies, it is classified into two
categories, positivism and interpretivism. Research philosophy refer to the ideology of research,

Researcher chose interpretivism research philosophy which is also known as interpretivist

type instead of quantitative. Qualitative research types are quite beneficial for this study as it
helps to answer all the questions about how and why people behave in way that they do, it caters
deep information about research topic. Qualitative is descriptive in nature, because it usually
deals with unquantifiable and non-numerical things. It is defined as research technique that
centring on collecting data through conversational communication and open ended.
Research approach
This element used to contain the different plan which looks at making assumption
regarding data gathering and different process of business. Research approach is based on nature
of study being addressed. Two basic research approaches are inductive and deductive, in this
research researcher chose deductive research approach. Researcher chose inductive research
approach, that helps to obtain better findings and achieve set objectives.
Data analysis-
This refer to the procedure of transforming, modelling, analysing and cleansing data with
goal of discovering useful data, supporting decision making and informing conclusion. Data
analysis in one of the best techniques used by researcher for analysing collected information. In
this research, researcher used Thematic analysis that help to analyse gathered data related to
above chosen topic. Thematic analysis is approach of analysing qualitative data, it helps
researcher more closely examines info to determine common theme, ideas and topics of meaning
that come up repeatedly.
Ethical consideration-
This is the different principle and value which need to be consider by the researcher at the
time of conducting the research in an organization. It will be specified as one of the most
significant parts of this research. Researcher must follow research ethics and moral principles in
their respective areas of this study. While conducting current and further investigation,

investigator does not make any harms to anyone. They take care of respondents effectively and
do not force them to participate in research.
Data Collection
Data collection, is methodology where the scholar try to collect the different data from
variety of the different source. For the purpose of having a good sort of the data to conduct the
research. There are two different type Data collection tool, which is used by the researcher
namely the primary data collection tool and secondary data collection tool. Primary data
collection tool is the tool in which the research try to collect the different data for the report from
the source of the data occurrence itself. Whereas secondary data collection tool is the tool in
which the research try to collect the data with the help of the source which has already collected
data in the past. Researcher has gone with both of the collection, For collecting the secondary
data researcher has gone variety of the different type of the secondary source related to the topic.
To collect the primary data researcher has taken help of survey as the tool to collect the data.
Survey will be targeting 30 employees of an organization.
Sampling
Sampling is the process in which the research try to figure out the number of the
respondent which will be taken by the researcher to carry out the result of the research.
Probabilistic sampling used to give all the respondent an equal chance to come under a cut,
whereas non probabilistic sampling do not used to give equal chance to all the respondent to
come under cut. Respondent has chosen simple random sampling method in probabilistic
method. Selected sample size for the project is 30 employees of organization.

Interpretation: Collected data has helped in interpretation that almost majority of respondent in
the organization are having good understanding of gender pay gape. As out of 30 respondent
pool, majorities of the respondent That is 27 employees has gone with the option of the yes and
only 3 employees has gone with the option of the no. This eventually means that it will get easy
for the organization to bring variety of the different policy in the organization.

Interpretation: Collected data helped in understanding that E&D in the firm used to impact the
productivity of the bushiness in the positive way. As with the collected data it has been
interpreted that 24 respondent from the pool of 30 respondent has gone with the option of yes
and only 6 employees has gone with the option of No. This was also highlight by the author in
the LR section.
