Unemployment in Asia
Amongst the largest 10 nations present in the region of Asia, nearly half of the planet is
occupied by the Asia. Due to the enormous amount of population the unemployment has
taken place at the wider scale and since then the economy of the Asia is not health for the
global environment (Almond, 2011). In other parts of the world there is problem of less
utilisation of resources while in Asian region there is overburden on each type of resources.
This has become both social and economic problem in the region.
The strategies that can be used for addressing this issue are:
More investments: Since the population is high in this region hence companies have great
opportunity to expand their business. This will also help in reducing the numbers of
unemployed people due to job creation. There are countries like India where huge level of the
population prevails and at the same time India is the hub of the talents and the ideas and on
the other hand the countries like China and Japan has a wide base for the technology and the
field of the research and development hence the firms can instil them in the process of
innovation. Apart from this, the south Asian region has huge market having low production
cost.
Skill development programs: It is essential that governments in these countries launch more
skill development programs so that people gets opportunities outside Asian region also. The
upliftment of the educational standards is one step in the process especially when it comes to
higher education.
Saxer, (2018), suggests that in coming years the condition is going to improve as new
industries are gathering and developing and the pace of the technology is also increasing
creating huge competition among the countries. This is directly going to benefit the
youngsters that are skilled and trained. More educational institutions of international
standards need to be opened.
