Introduction:
The aim of this report is to discuss the aspiration of being a leaders in a reputed firm.
As I have completed my learning with Business management therefore I want to get placed in
a reputed form that operates in the international market stuff I process different types of
capabilities of leaders therefore aspire to manage a diverse group of employees (Komives
2016). In this paper, the personal details and aspirations will be discussed and the factors
needed for being an effective leaders will be analysed.
leadership style or position I aspire to:
From the learning in this course I have gained the knowledge that the leaders in the
international forms need to possess some unique skills like decision making, Risk taking and
management, recruitment of the best skills, negotiation with all types of stakeholders and
knowledge sharing through proper communication. All of these talents are possessed by me
and I have working experience in a small firm that gives me extra leverage then my
competitors in the same field.
The position of a human resource manager seeks for having the capability to recruit
skilled and supportive employees, sharing information about the operation of the
organisation, gaining knowledge about their problems in working in the internal environment,
gaming in depth understanding of how the employees will be motivated, initiate policies and
regulations for creating a positive workplace with diverse working culture, except cultural
and other types of diversity so that employees are empowered and maintaining a great
connection between the HR with the management of different departments (Moodie 2016).
This particular position aims to create a positive and motivated employee base who
will support the company at any point of time. Therefore the relation of the HR and

employees need to have dependability and mutual trust. This will be gained if the HR
possesses certain skills like teamwork and collaboration, formal and informal
communication, in-depth knowledge about the employee emotions and response, scheduling,
understanding of motivational factors and most importantly honesty and integrity (Sousa and
Rocha 2019).
According to my personal understanding of leadership, there are some critical factors
of leadership success which include time management, effective communication, motivation,
vision, team work, delegation, goal settings, periodic reviews, recruitment, and customer
centric approach, interviewing and mentoring the employees through feedback system
(Awan, Ahmed and Zulqarnain 2015).
Analyse your strengths and weaknesses:
Unlike every common person in this world I also possess some characteristic
strengths and weaknesses. Despite the fact I want to overcome all the threats due to my
weaknesses in character by transforming them into strengths. I am currently working on my
weaknesses and incapability bye getting guidance from the mentors and family members so
that I can easily balance myself both professionally and personally. Among the strengths I
possess excellent social skills which means that I can mix with people in no time. This can
create a good relationship with the people working under me. This also helps in the team
bonding where all the members of the team can depend upon my decisions and actions.
I give opportunity to the others so that they can also flourish and try to negotiate with
the problematic situations. I have an empathetic nature that it allows me to understand my
own emotions at any situation and so also of the others (Amanchukwu, sStanley and Ololube
2015). Therefore communication of right knowledge and proper understanding of the demand
of the employees will be understood by me. I have effective communication ability which

helps me to convey exactly what I am thinking to the others and clarify my position in any
situation. This enable me to become an effective team worker. I also can adapt with new
situations and changes because I am very much flexible with any changes. I manipulate my
skills in such a way that I do not feel nervous in any condition. I am an ethical person hence
put importance in integrity among the members. As I strive for the best, therefore complete
every tasks in a perfect way.
Among my weaknesses I have pointed out the inability of time management is a very
important factor for an HR manager. I have the ability to complete things perfectly therefore
lack the ability to complete those within time. For an HR manager, the ability of time
management is very much vital because if I don’t make decisions within time this can affect
my subordinates in a negative way. Secondly I possess a competitive mentality which often
affects my decisions and actions. My competitive nature daunts me to compare myself with
others. This has led me to feel insecure with my position. I am not an outgoing person and do
not like to work of my own without involving others in the decision making. this weakness in
my also has led me to reduce risk taking capability but while I am featuring an HR position in
a reputed international business (Nawaz and Khan 2016) I have to take risks as not
everything will come into my support. My own weaknesses also prevent me to meet the
requirements of new skis in this constantly changing job market.

According to the leadership theories are different facets which empower a person to
gain changes in their personality and make themselves effective as a leader. There are
authoritative leadership, democratic leadership, transformational and transactional leadership,
leissaz-Fair leadership model and Path goal theory of leadership (Schyns sand Riggio 2016).
All of these theories help the persons to plan and manage the situations within a particular

scope of time. I am responsible to motivate myself coordinates in such a way so that they can
effectively contribute their talents for the growth of our business (Offermann and Coats
2018). I believe the situation can only decide which leadership style I will be following for
managing my human resource in the organisation.
Despite the fact that I possess effective communication square but I do not have any
working experience as human resource manager beforehand. This is the reason why I need to
follow some guidelines to become effective communicator and maintain a positive working
relationship with my subordinates. I will be gaining trust and integrity only when I can share
all my knowledge to them. I need to understand and listen to their feedback carefully so that I
can point out the most irritating factors manipulating them. For become a good communicator
I first need to be a good listener. If I practice listening capability I will be solving many
issues through my communication. I have the opportunity to gain knowledge through
constant learning process stock as the globalisation process has mandated every business
organisation to keep on changing their policies and operations therefore of the decisions will
be depending upon constant innovative learning process. As a human resource manager need
to gain knowledge about the current issues in the international HRM and what rights are
being implemented in other organisations to avoid employee grievances. I need to get
experience of envisaging the future by gripping new skills and use them in capturing new
market. In addition to this I also must focus on developing cultural diversity management as
the organisations operating in the international market are highly diverse in terms of culture
and ethnicity. The more I will be able to incorporate culturally diverse employees in the
workplace the more unique and innovative ideas will be introduced. This will make my firm
highly competitive and effective in operating in the international business.

Developing leadership capacity:
In order to develop leadership capacity firstly I need to expose myself in different and
new experiences from which I will be learning new things and contribute my own. Secondly,
I will be attending training so that I can grow my communication skills and attend all the
needed knowledge for being an effective leader. I shall ensure that my new skills will be
applied in the workplace as I will use them in the policy making process. As I have
mentioned that I possess various knowledge and skill gaps hence need a guidance from the
mentor. After gaining knowledge from all my trainings I shall undergo several tests so that I
understand my own growth through MBTI test and emotional intelligence test. Thus I shall
develop all styles of leadership and decide which style will be applied for what situation.
Conclusion:
I aspire for an HR position so that I can select the best employees for my fIrm and
manage them effectively. I have proper understanding of personalities and differentiate right
from wrong. I have positive Outlook and try to complement those who possess skills. I have
dynamic thinking capability which enables me to gain information from different sources
about one particular incident. Therefore I am less biased in comparison to others. I as a leader
therefore will undergo different trainings so that I can manage and motivate my subordinates
so that they along with me can cope up with the situations positive or negative.
