In the firms initial days of going international, they have adopted a structure that is
characterized by the chief executive officer presiding over the four operational divisions and
directly over the export manager who would be look after the firm’s initiatives that will be
carried out in Europe. For the operations that will be carried out by the firm in their initial efforts
to go international will be to stick to the existing organizational structure. The proposed
hierarchical structure can be followed to maintain a complexity free environment. As a result of
the newly formulated initiative of the company, they should dedicate a department for the export
services.
Favourable performance in the market of Europe would enable the company to further
expand their market share. The company has identified the possibility of the same and plan to
expand to the Asian market. Thus the importance of restructuring the structure of the
organization is evident. Expansion into Asian market will require additional expertise who would
focus their efforts on the operations of the company that is taking place in the Asian market. The
Structure of the organization has to include the department of the newly formulated division that
will operate in the newly formulated market.
In future if the company performs favourably overseas, they would require to make
further changes to their organizational structure. If the company sell half of their total output
overseas they can choose to set up branches in the countries in which their products are
performing well. This would imply that they would have to create an organizational structure
with delegations for their overseas operations.

The client of the company is the owner of a pharmaceuticals company who wish to enter
the Indian market by taking the services of the consultation company. The office manager
rejected the notion of expanding into the market of India. The manager believes in steady growth
and feels that this move would turn out to be risky for the pharmaceutical company. The
approval of the office manager is valuable thus his opinions cannot be neglected or turned down.
In order to present the fact that the Indian market provides a great scope of growth of the firm, an
online research was carried out.
The agenda of a meeting held thus after was to highlight the efficacy of the Indian market
to the office manager of the company. In the meeting it was discussed that the Indian
pharmaceutical market is likely to produce a revenue of 8.1 billion before the beginning of 2021
(Chaudhary, 2018). The manger provided a counter opinion by stating that the company could be
under pressure from the existing member of the market. A counter opinion stated that my
creating an effective marketing tactic the same problem can be coped with. It was also
highlighted that renowned companies such as apple were also turning to India due to the
favourable external factors such as desirable government policies and availability of cheap
labour (Reisinger, 2018). Even though the manager did not admit, it was evident form his
behavior that his opinion got molded. On a concluding note the meeting came to an end by
stating that Indian market will be suitable for the endeavors of the client’s company due to the
factors thus discussed.

There are some skills that sets individuals apart from each other. The skill that can be
identified as impoverished managerial skills. The skills can be further subdivided into
Conceptual skills, Technical skills, Leadership skills, Interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Conceptual skills involve the skill through which it is affirmed that the individual has basic
understanding about the presence and goals of the organization. Technical skills implies to the
technical competency of the personnel, leadership skills are the skill that make people good
leaders, interpersonal and intercultural skills refers to the skill of collaboration between different
people of the organization and skills to resonate in a culturally diverse environment (Tauringana
& Adjapong, 2013).
I have identified that the skills that I am lacking in are leadership and cross cultural skills.
Australia is a country that is full of diversity (Markus, 2014). With people from diverse cultural
backgrounds, it becomes crucial for people to be adept in the aforementioned skill. Thus I would
require to quickly learn intercultural skills. Additionally good leadership abilities would help me
to bolster future opportunities in the organization. My colleagues belonging to different cultural
backgrounds do not show any reaction to the void in my skillset. They have always been
supportive towards me. They realize that I am much younger to them and have helped me by
providing constant knowledge and support.
