MIS500 Foundations of Information Systems: Fibre Fashion Report

This report addresses the information system challenges faced by Fibre Fashion, a company that currently relies on outdated methods for data collection and storage, including a simple customer database and inefficient spreadsheets for brand management. The assignment involves acting as consultants to develop a comprehensive information system plan. The report analyzes the limitations of the current systems, particularly the use of spreadsheets and simple databases, and identifies the need for a Management Information System (MIS) to improve efficiency, decision-making, and communication. It explores the benefits of an MIS, such as enhanced efficiency, better decision quality, and improved communication. software to collaborate the ease of

 Executive Support Systems
(ESS).

Problems of Fibre Fashion:
 Usage of a simple product to maintain
the customer information (Carrer et
al., 2017).
 Usage of spread sheets to collect and
store the data of all the brands
represented by Fibre Fashion.
 Outdated methods of decision-making
