INTRODUCTION
This reflection is based on the tasks that were allotted to me during my university
assignments. The name of the organisation in which I was placed as an assistant manager for
handling the warehouse and operations is Jiya Links. This report covers the reflection of my
working experience in the respective organisation for 20 hours and the ways in which these
working has helped me in terms of growth prospects.
MAIN BODY
In the first 3 hours of my reporting at the warehouse of Jiya Links, I learnt the ways in which
organisation operates and generates revenue from the market. The first few hours of working
were majorly an induction process where I learnt the ways in which warehouses operates and
establishes work within the organisation. I was further assigned my job roles and responsibilities
through which I gained a clarity on the areas in which I need to work in order to attain the
desired results. As an assistant manager I was assigned several roles and responsibilities and
majority of my work included effective management to bring productivity within the
organisation. These few hours were mu pre-set for the work where I established the way in which
the warehouse operates daily and the goals that needs to be attained within the organisation. I
learnt that Organizational learning is the process of creating, retaining and transferring
knowledge within an organization. Over the time, I understood that organizations improve with
experience. From this experience, I was able to create knowledge in several areas. This
knowledge is broad and covers any topic that can improve an organization.
The next few hours of working were associated in learning the way operations
management helps in achievement of the goals and objectives. The administration of the
different business practices that are created for the highest level to deliver the effectiveness and
efficiency which is possible for the organisation and the warehouses. Further I learnt the ways in
which planning, controlling and supervising of manufacturing activities and further delivery of
services to the customers are based. The delivery of success is based on bringing the organisation
with maximum amount of results which will further deliver the core objective. The process of
operations management is essential as it is important for the business to deal with the challenges
that are associated with establishing effective operations in Jiya Link. Through Jiya Link I learnt
the ways in which the warehouses plan the activities so that the desired operations of the

my time in operations management are planning of activities that needs to be carried out in
different time frames. The activities are planned within the organisation based on the
requirements, I learnt that the different goals have different activities which are further allotted
with a time frame that is short, medium and long. Through these areas I developed the organising
activities which helped in delivering of desired goals by organising of resources and manpower
in a way that no resources are wasted in the organisation. The Warehouses must be planned
enough that they can manage their day to day activities and deliver the best results that are
associated with the project. My superior manager taught me a range of activities through which I
was able to deal with the challenges that are associated with the process of warehouse
management.

which the organisation develops a customer relationship. The marketing techniques used by the
organisation to further promote and create brand awareness in the market plays an important role
in terms of bringing and delivering the maximum results. I learnt the different tactics that are
used by my superiors in maximizing the results of the amount they have invested in the
marketing activities. Through this I was able to develop information regarding the different areas
of marketing and how it helps in terms of increasing the customers in the business and increasing
the brand awareness in the market. The marketing learning helped me in gaining an insight on
the areas through which success factor is derived in the business model. The business
management consists of a range of areas that needs to be explored in order to attain maximum
results within the company.
