a) Advantages of Globalisation
The various advantages that are associated with globalisation are :-
 It helps in understanding the culture of various countries and enhancing the kn owledge
level as well.
 It helps in increasing the economy of developing country which is very beneficial for
them (Grau, Kuemmerle and Macchi, 2013).
 It expands the market share of companies by doing their operations in several countries.
 Customers are able to get products at low rates and that is why it is highly preferred and
supported by them.
 Flow of communication is also developed between countries and individuals who are
present around the world.
 It has helped many poor countries in achieving higher growth and reducing its level of
poverty as well.
 Due to globalisation , market has become competitive which has educed monopoly
profits and provoked companies to seek cost reduction innovations.
b) Disadvantages of Globalisation
It is described as follows :-
 Because of globalisation, no. of imports is more than the exports which led to growing
trade deficit and problem of balance of payments was also introduced.
 Due to development of technology and introduction of various new techniques to conduct
the operations, people are becoming job less as more of their work is being done by the
machines and it has impacted the economy in both positive as well as negative manner.

 Globalisation is also showing its interest in poverty reduction in some developing and
underdeveloped countries because of which problem of inequality was introduced.
 It is very difficult to implement digitalisation in those countries that is industrially
developed as they will not be ready to face all the pains and uncertainties so as to become
more better in future.
c) CSR is effective at improving the world
It is very important for all the companies to fulfil their corporate social responsibilities as
they are having some responsibility towards the society which they needs to fulfil as they are

taking resources from there. As per a survey conducted by Net impact, it was analysed hat 53 %
people are working in a company so that they can make some impact and the rest are working
just to earn money (Green, 2012).
It can also be used to improve the image of brand in the whole world as people observe
activities of companies and then develop their trust and loyalty towards the company. This is
very beneficial for the company as they will be able to make customers for lifetime. So, by
performing CSR activities world is only benefited by it.
d) CSR is ineffective at improving the world
There are various ineffectiveness that are caused by doing CSR activities in the world and
this can be said because the companies that are creating and funding the programmes undertaken
for corporate social responsibilities are also spending the same on money lobbying which is
against the rules and regulations. The social initiatives done by the companies are sometimes
acceptable by the people and sometimes not and thus it creates a problem for the society (Hendry
and et. al., 2013).
In these kinds of activities, stake holders are not involved much and thus they do not do
any kind of investment as well so the whole responsibility is in the head of company therefore it
becomes very hectic for the company to handle all these activities all together. Therefore it is
very ineffective.
e) Negative effects of high levels of immigration on the UK
Because of globalisation, many people are getting shifted to UK . Initially it was good but
slowly and slowly it was impacting in a negative manner and its effects are as follows :-
 It will lead to increase in labour force but that much jobs are not available so it is creating
a negative impact on the economy as well. They may also have dependents with them
which they have to take care of and thus they may face issues related to money (Blinder,
2011).
 They were feeling overcrowded and this rapid increase in population has lead to decrease
in the living standards if people as well which is a strong threat to the economy.
 They may also face issues related to unavailability of resources or deficiency as well
because there are so many people present but the resources are limited.

f) Solutions to immigration related problems in UK
These are the kinds of problems that can be solved by government authorities only. The
solutions can be presented as under :-
 Government of UK can try to make the situations better in countries and make
arrangements for various types of resources that are essential for people to live.
 They can construct various houses that will be specifically kept for immigrants and will
not be used by together people so in this way there will always be a place available for
people who are coming from different country (Kim and et. al., 2011).
 Government of UK can also make new rules and regulations through which they can
decrease the no. of immigrants to the country. This is a very effective step and so
required to be taken by the companies so as to improve the situation of the country.
g) Assisted dying should be made legal in UK
It has been observed that four countries in Europe have legalised some form of assisted
dying. It is time for UK also to legalise few forms of assisted dying and provide people the right
to decide when and how to die. For applying it they can take guidance from those countries who
have already applied this act (Pereira, 2011).
According to a survey, it is known that every third doctor in UK wants assisted dying to
be legalised and this is because patients are kept on ventilators for a very long time and it is
benefiting hospitals only. So, it is prescribed that patients who are terminally should be kept on
treatment for maximum 6 months and after that they can be given heavy dose of medicine so as
to end their life.
h) Assisted dying should remain illegal in UK
It is suggested that assisted dying should remain illegal because no one has a right to take
life of anyone and thus doctors can not take any such step like giving heavy dose of medicines to
their patients unless and until their family is not allowing them to do so (Salb, Friedman and
Friedman, 2011). The government should not be allowed to implement this law in UK as through
this, value of person's life will decrease and everyone will get a feeling that anyone can kill them
through medicines as well if they will be ill for long period of time.
So, it is suggested that doctors should invest their time in saving the life of a person
rather than thinking ton end their life and reducing pressure as well. So, assisted dying should not
be applied in UK.
