Introduction
Human resource management is an essential part of the company. This department
not only monitors the working of the company but also supervises the recruitment of
employees within the company. The human resource department has to be very
particular in selecting the candidates for the company. The candidates have to be
responsible and dedicated about their work or else the human resource department
will be accountable for the deficit to the organisational heads. They also look into the
matter of developing the skills of the candidates’ and making them more proficient in
their genre of work to make their output productive for the company.
The company chosen for the following study is Aston Martin. The human resource
department of the company works in an organised manner to bring out the best of
the company and make its name to be counted amongst the top brands in the
automobile industry. The following study will include the strengths and weaknesses f
recruitment process and the vital functions of the HRM. The study will give an
elaborative picture of the working and functions that the HRM of the company
conducts (astonmartin.com 2019).

The purpose of the human resource department in the company is to employ
candidates that have the eligibility to cater the requirements of the company and
make their output constructive. The human resource of the company makes their job
roles very efficient by exercise their responsibilities in the proper manner (Berman et
al., 2019). They also develop the candidates to make them proficient in their job role.
Hence, the functions of the human resource department are elaborately stated
below:
Recruitment of the candidates- The human resource department has the
responsibility of recruiting the candidates who are the perfect fit for the company.
The candidates that come for the interviews have to match the criteria that are
wanted by the company (DeCenzo et al., 2016). The human resource department
adopts certain procedure that gives a wide knowledge about the candidates. The
department carries out certain strategy that helps them to examine the capabilities
and skills about their job role. The candidates must have sufficient knowledge about
the designation they are appearing for the human resource department mainly takes
exams, gives questionnaire; conducts group discussions and lastly the personal
interviews are taken of the candidates these processes are used for employing the
candidates. Only if the candidates qualify then only they are selected.
Developing the candidates- The human resource department is solely responsible

their work. The human resource department gives proper training to the candidates

also tries in managing healthy relations between the management and employee.
