INTRODUCTION
This study focuses on the role of project management in an enterprise, as well as how project
management can be used to increase an organization's efficiency and profitability. This study is
focused on AstraZeneca and focuses on how management organizations can successfully and
efficiently initiate their health and care applications. Astra Zeneca is a global pharmaceutical and
biotechnology company based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in Cambridge, England.
Treatments for cancer, cardiovascular disease, stomach disease, infection, neuroscience,
infectious disease, and inflammation are among the company's offerings. Organization also
focuses on developing effective vaccines for people and work towards their better health. This
report focuses on development of health app by organization and focuses on different stages of
project of developing an effective app for consumers (Barroso Sudo, 2019).
TASK 1
This section of the report focuses on how AstraZeneca should launch their app for the good of
the people, as well as how it can contribute to the growth and development of the company by
keeping people safe and protected from disease. As a result of these and other health-related
problems, millions of people all over the world engage in sports. That is why the development of
fitness apps has become so popular in recent years. Another recent development is the use of
Smartphone app there are thousands of them available for almost every aspect of life.
Technology has simplified and made many things easier. Sports are no exception. Tablets and
apps have become rooted in current culture.
AstraZeneca focuses on connecting people by offering creative solutions to human problems,
and the development of health and wellness apps has helped to close the gap. Despite the fact
that health buffs are going nuts over the growth of fitness mobile apps, now is the best time to
get into the Health & Fitness Mobile Development sector. This is unquestionably possible using
custom product development for Health and Fitness to catalogue health and fitness applications
in a systematic manner. Mobile apps for health and fitness that emphasize innovative
engagement to improve lifestyle are becoming increasingly common. Customers in the

healthcare industry are often required to perform time-consuming, ineffective tasks (Francese
and et. al., 2017).
Digital innovation has the ability to help alleviate the burden in this area by collecting and
exchanging data between healthcare providers. While there is growing evidence that digital
technologies can improve the efficacy and efficiency of health services, less research has been
done about how likely patients are to embrace and use technology to provide data. People who
are more worried about their wellbeing and focus on exercise and healthier diets are more likely
to use the AstraZeneca app, and this app has a high chance of success because people are
currently more focused on strengthening their immune systems and keeping themselves healthy.
TASK 2
PROJECT PLANNING
A scope of work is the division of work to be completed under a contract or subcontract in the
execution of a project, normally divided into different tasks with deadlines (SOW). It's known as
scope of work, and "Scope of Work" typically refers to a document with specific information
based on division of labor. One of the most common problems that occur during the project life
cycle is disagreements between the agency and the client on the following topics.
• What is the best course of action?
• How should it be carried out?
• How long would it take?
This is a common source of confusion, which may result in implementation delays or, in the
worst-case scenario, the project's complete termination and legal action. The SOW should
contain any milestones, changes, or deliverables. All well-defined and well-executed apps have
one thing in common: they were designed to solve a specific problem (Khawas and Shah, 2018).
Until creating prototype designs, a pen must be used on paper. App developers must clarify why
their app would appeal to users. How well the app's owners, creators, and designers understand
who will use it will decide the app's success. There are a few questions that can help an
organization learn more about its mission which are mentioned below:

• What is the problem that the app will help with? What exactly is the aim of the organization?
• What is the product's vision? How does an app help to streamline or improve current processes
while still promoting new ones?
• Are the target customers of the company aware that they have a problem?
PROJECT SCOPE
To ensure that the app is delivered on schedule, the project manager must develop a project
timeline, set project goals, and assign project resources. Many custom software development
companies hire project managers to determine these requirements on behalf of app developers
(McCarthy, Long and Grundy, 2020). They communicate the project's priorities and scope to
their team of developers and engineers. A project manager in a high-quality software
development company should identify, optimize, and communicate expect a project manager
who describes, optimizes, and communicates: software developers and entrepreneurs should
expect a project manager who defines, optimizes, and communicates:
The following are the aims of the project:
• Goals
• Phases of project
• Accountability
• Resource availability
• Budgeting
• Schedule
RISKS INVOLVED IN PROJECT
The riskiest part of the software development process is the testing phase. Investments in custom
software that can produce a real return on investment would be stifled by concerns about the
inherent risk. This risk, on the other hand, can be avoided by careful planning, following best
practices, and having excellent communication. “Test early, test often” should be a mantra for
enterprise-quality software development programmes. Early user testing, for example, will save

hundreds of hours of development time by weeding out minor features. Identifying a faulty API,
on the other hand, would ensure that crucial rollouts are not postponed at the last minute due to
integration problems.
There are five distinct risks associated with the creation of an app, as mentioned below:
• Starting at big level- Delivering an app that users don't want is a company's worst fear when
developing a mobile app. A native app can cost tens (or even hundreds) of thousands of dollars
and take months to develop.
• Performance levels- Another issue is what happens if a large number of people start using the
app. What if it takes off a lot faster than expected? It is conceivable that it'll be tasked with
assisting tens of thousands of people.
• Inadequate product preparation time- Most businesses simply cannot afford to develop mobile
apps in-house. As a result, they'll need to enlist outside help, which will raise the project's risk.
After all, choosing the wrong development partner could completely sabotage the project
(Meredith and et. al., 2020).
• Selecting the wrong forum- Security vulnerabilities are nothing new and they can impact any
website or mobile application. The danger here is that sufficient security protections in native
apps are undervalued. Some companies make the mistake of assuming that native apps are
automatically safe, and as a result, fail to enforce
• Misunderstandings lead to failure of project- One of the most important things to remember
about native mobile apps for companies is that you're in someone else's sandbox. It must adhere
to their policies or risk getting its application denied adequate security measures.
PROJECT SUCCESS
The number of users who download and plan to use an app is the first indicator of its popularity.
Since the organization's main priority should be to build a large user base, this is the first look at
user interaction. Knowing how many people have downloaded an app does not always imply that
they are using it. Active interaction is crucial to monitor, and there are a few metrics that
companies can use to track how many people are actually using the app. This is another crucial
metric to track since it indicates how many users are returning to the app (Pandey, Litoriya and

Pandey, 2019). There are a few different retention formulas to consider, but the majority of
customers that stay is the most significant.
CONCLUSION
This study completes the project management process and aids in the conclusion of
AstraZeneca's successful app creation and how the company can ensure competitiveness and
profitability through the use of apps. This study also aids in the conclusion of various steps that
can be used to determine the app's efficacy and performance, as well as how it can contribute to
the organization revenue.
