Project scope
App design and launch cost
The app design is very important because in case it will not be attractive then this will be
reducing the working efficiency of the company. The app design involves the combination of
user interface and user experience and in case it will not be good then it will not be liked by the
consumers (San Cristóbal and et.al., 2018). It involves the overall style and this need to be good.
The launch cost of the app will involve approximately £450 which includes all the expenses
levied over working and making of the app.
Social media integration
For the launch of health and fitness app by Astra plc the use of social media integration
will be undertaken. the reason behind this fact is that in this technologically advanced working
environment the promotion needs to be undertaken with help of social media platforms only.
In- app purchase
The in- app purchase includes the extra content or subscription which buyers can
purchase from within the app as well. in this case, the in- app purchases involve facility of video
tutorials for different weight loss exercises, gamification, tracking metrics and many others.
App customisation
This involves the facility of changing the setting of the app in accordance to the specific
requirement of the consumer or user. In this app, Astra plc provides the facility to the consumer
to set their own goals and then get the guidance relating to the goal being set by the user.
Testing the app
For the testing of the app four to five rounds will be rounds will be taking place and in
case all these round will be successfully completed then this will be publicly launched (Müller,
Drouin and Sankaran, 2019). This is necessary for the reason that in case the test will not be done

properly then this implies that working of app will involve different types of the issues and
problem.
Launch of app
After the success of all the five rounds the app will be launched publicly and any person
will be allowed to use the app in accordance to their requirement after taking up the subscription.
Project risk
For the launch of app to be successful it is necessary that the company must analyse the
risk which might be faced by the company. This is necessary because with any of the project
there are different types of the risk being associated with the launch of app (Armenia and et.al.,
2019). The risk and the mitigating action within the project of launching app is as follows-
Potential risk Likelihood of risk Impact Mitigating risk
Competition High High The mitigating action
for this risk is
continues monitoring
of performance of
competitor so that
they can analyse that
how they are
working.
Cost overrun Low Moderate For mitigating this
risk, it is very
essential for Astra
that they must keep a
track of all the cost
and try to avoid the
unnecessary cost so
that profitability can
be increased.
Delay in app design Moderate High The mitigating
strategy for the risk
of delay in app

design is to use
proper time
management so that
all the work can be
done in proper and
effective manner.
Technological risk High High For avoiding the
technological risk,
the use of proper
research and
development
department is
necessary (Picciotto,
2020). This is
because of the reason
that when the
continuous market
research will be
undertaken then this
will outline all the
latest technology
present and this will
result in planning to
implement the
technology.
Financial risk Moderate High This risk can be
mitigated with help
of proper financial
planning as this will
improve the working
efficiency of the

company and they
will be in position to
manage the finance
in proper and
effective manner.
Project success
For the success of the company it is essential that the launch of app of Astra plc is very
necessary. Hence, for this the measurement of the company and its launch is very important and
for this there are different types of tools and techniques which are assistive. At time of launching
the app, for measurement of success the use of benchmarking will take place. This is necessary
particularly because of the reason that in this type of technique the actual performance of the
company is being compared with the closest competitor and identify the deviation within the
launch (Chawla and et.al., 2018). In case deviation is negligible or not present then this implies
that the performance and launch of the app is very good. On the other hand, in case the
deviations are more than this implies that working and launch of the app has not been taken in
proper manner and this will be affecting the working of the company to a great extent.
CONCLUSION
In the end the above discussion concluded that the launch of new product is necessary
because this will promote the working efficiency of the company to a great extent. hence, as a
result of this the launch was successful. The current presentation summarised that app will
provide the facility to target consumer to track their health. Also it was analysed that this app
was built because health conscious attitude is very trending and the target audience identified
was young people and athlete. The chances of success are also very high because it involves the
latest trend and different benefits.
