Abstract
In this report, the analysis of the company AstraZeneca has been carried out based on the
industry cluster theory reflecting the value-creating activities at Cambridge, UK. The method
used for this study is a case study approach using secondary data collection tools. The
investigation revealed that the company’s patent rights, contribution towards the economy and
prioritizing R&D facilities have contributed towards global competitiveness as these value
creating activities at the base of Cambridge, UK has gained significant acceptance from the
