Introduction
This report will determine the concept of Copyright and intellectual property in the Information
and communication technology environment. This report will be based on the Atlassian
enterprise software company. It is the Australian leading IT Company which provides tracking
service to the mobile application and website. It focuses on the copyright and intellectual subject,
which is applied by the company. It relates to privacy and research activities. It includes ethics
and the policies which are applied by the specified company. It will provide a complete
description regarding Australian Privacy Policy (APP). Hence, all the Australian organization
applied various employees and customer policy to maintain its high reputation in the existing
market. Still, there is a large requirement of additional policy which helps to secure company
copyrights. This report will provide effective information regarding copyright and intellectual
property. It helps to provide extensive information on the same concept. Along with this report;
it will provide a conversation with another. There will be a discussion on copyright, intellectual
property, and privacy.

PART A - Copyright
The Atlassian enterprise software company develop the product for software engineer or
developers. This enterprise is well known for application tracking. Tracking is related to issue
tracking and bug tracking. This useful tool is used for software and mobile application tracking.
Atlassian Company is very strict towards copyright and the holder of the trademark holder.
According to the policy of the respective organization, Atlassian doesn’t allow for sharing their
copyrights. They respect their data or other specific content from the cloud service or websites. If
any other organization uses the copyright or their service. An individual has the right to inform
them and notify them. And if an organization requires copyright, they must provide their
signature or electric signature on the specific documents (Abramowicz, et.al., 2019).
Copyright is an authorized or legal way for protecting a unique work or development. It
undergoes in intellectual property. It published the record or print in the document. The current
copyright act applied in the Australian is copyright Act 1968. In this act, the other person or
organization will not able to reproduce the same work without their permission or not able to sell
their right to some other person as well. This law is applicable throughout the nation.

The copyright laws in Australia have a large collection of rights in innovative or creative work
(Eriksson and Thunholm, 2019).
The current copyright policy is the legal concept which gives on original work, which proves that
their work originally generated by a specific organization. It also prevents that copyrighting from
others as well. Atlassian applied copyright Amendment (Digital Agenda) Act 2000 ensures that
in the online environment, all the organization must perform the efficient operation in the same
industry. It provides financial reward to the creators or investor. These all copyrights have the
capability to protects its intellectual property which needs to be safe and secure until the
organization will not give any kind of permission (Savage and Zerkee, 2019).
Atlassian Policies
Policies of organization: In this policy, the organization has personal policies which include
personal information of employees, wages and salary detail of respective designation, terms and
policies regarding hiring or termination. The health and safety policies provider to every
employee on which they provide health insurance or other medical claims. These are the policies
of the company, which helps to grow in a successful direction.
Application: The day to day activity collected data or information from a large source. In this
case, it reminds me that all personal information must be stored in an appropriate manner. It must
not be disclosed with any third person.
Privacy includes in the policy in which the company will not share personal or professional
information with others. Atlassian maintains privacy respect in the organization, and according
to this, they increase the chances (McKeown,2019).

Application: This policy helps to maintain good relations with the client and become a more
reputation in the existing market. It helps to connect with the international and some new client
(Coates, 2019).
Recommendation
 ·As per the laws and industry-standard Atlassian provides a minimum salary to its
employees.
 Every employee who employees for the organization.
 The company needs to provide appropriate learning regarding copyright and intellectual
activity
 It applied ISO service in the organization which protects product and service.
 The company needs to improve the quality standard and develop policies regarding
quality standards.
 As per the laws, every employee needs to discuss their opinion and views in the
organization. Atlassian needs to modify in its policies, and it requires modification in the
leadership style as well.
Procedure of Copyright
 Fill the application form for the tracking product. It requires standard fees or charges.
 It requires further enquiry, and it will take at least 30 days.
 There is a complete enquiry that required copyright already has the copyright or not.
 After completing all the inquiry process, there will two cases occurred one is accepted or
rejected (Whelan, 2019).

The modification in the policies required areas
Existing Employee: Atlassian company need to provide specific training regarding software
development and other project management which introduce latest or recently in the existing
market. The company needs to provide appropriate leadership style which encourages the
employee. If any employee has some extensive skills, the company need to promote this
individual
New staff: Atlassian Company creates a policy for efficient induction program. According to
this, they might understand the rules and regulation to the employees. The company needs to
provide a minimum of a one-month training program for all the new staff. In which, they
understand the concept of organization and help to analyze the growth of the company.
Management: Atlassian management needs to improve and modified its policies according to
the expectations of the customer and employees. It helps to take appropriate action regarding.
Planning and proper procedural activity ensure the success and growth of the company. It
reduces labor and resource complexity. It helps to achieve the desired goal.
External Stakeholder: external stakeholder includes clients and investors. The company
develops policies in which they will not share any information regarding their personal
information. Company will not share any information on external stakeholder on any online
means.
