In many community and society community capital framework are used by the
government and the NGO’s to measure the level of growth in that area. Auckland, Newzealand
have some build and natural capital which will be used by the organizer of the event for their
benefit. The two build and natural capital are related in one way or the other, for instance, both
can be used to attract tourism and to facilitate the organization of this even. 2021 American cup
will be attended by many people from different parts of the world (Rhonda Phillips, 2015).
Together with participants and organizers build and natural will play a big role in this event. In
explanation Natural capital can be explained as a category which includes community’s natural
beauty, rivers, weather, environment, lakes, wildlife, soil and forests.
In the event natural event will not only help the participants but also, attendances will
have a opportunity to visit other tourism attraction site and enjoy the beautiful nature as they see
wildlife and other sceneries. This means that apart from the event natural beauty will attract
people from different parts of the world who will at the end of tour maybe attend the 2021
American’s cup at Auckland, Newzealand.
Build capital is another key factor found on the capital framework which will in one way
or the other facilitate the 2021 American’s cup (Phillips & Besser, 2013). The event will also
depend on build capital such as infrastructure that supports the community to carry their daily
activities in the long run. The infrastructure can include telecommunications, main streets, water
and sewers systems, industrial park, roads etc. this category can be termed as focus on

Community capital framework (CCF) is an approach used by the government or other
institutions to analyze the communities and the community development efforts from a system
perspective (Melvin Delgado, 2013). Built and natural capital connects with other community
capital framework in one way or the other. For instance, the two are used to preserve the cultural
capital in the community. Culture capital deals mostly with ethnic festivals, strong work ethics,
multi-lingual population, heritage and traditions. In the community cultural capital influences
what voices is supposed to be heard and also to be listened to, what voice is supposed to have an
influence in certain area, how one must be creative, innovative and influence emerge and are
nurtured. Also the two support human capital which can explained as skills and abilities of a
society as well as the capital which is required to access the outside resources and the knowledge
so that 8it can increase the understanding as well as to identify promising practices (youth,
health, education and skills). This category also address the leadership ability which is require in
order to lead across differences, to be proactive in shaping the future of the community and the
group, to focus on assets and to be inclusive and participatory (Baron, Armstrong, & Page,
2013). All other community capital framework depends on build and natural capital in one way
or the other. In the event, the 2021 American’s Cup built and natural capital affects other capital
positively.

One must understand that community capital framework does not mainly focuses on
community deficits and community needs but lather it puts more emphasis on community and
society assets. In our case we are going to discuss how natural and built capital is to be applied to
the 2021 America’s Cup which will take place at Auckland, Newzealand.
Natural capital
As we discussed earlier natural capital includes community’s natural beauty, rivers,
weather, environment, lakes, wildlife, soil and forests. These resources will be utilized when
preparing for 2021 American’s cup. In the event natural capital will be utilized in different ways,
for instance, natural beauty of the Auckland city will be used to attract more tourists who will not
only attend the event but lather they will come to admire the nature. From the research, natural
beauty attracts around 60 percent of the total tourists in a place.2021 America’s cup will benefit
from the natural beauty as some of the tourists touring the place may ends up visiting the
tournament.

Natural capital will support the staging of the event in different ways, for instance, rivers
will provide clean drinking water as the event continues also the weather will play an important
aspects. This is because organizers will follow the weather pattern when organizing the events,
for instance, games will take place during the morning hours and afternoon as in the evening it
will be expected to rain heavily (Wagen, 2015).
Hinder the staging of the event
Some of the keys natural capital which might hinder 2021 American cup is heavy rainfall
which will take place at the evening. Also other elements of weather such as wind and sunlight
may hinder the occurrence of the event in the long run.
Built capital
As we have discussed above built capital includes the infrastructure that supports the
community to carry their daily activities in the long run. The infrastructure can include
telecommunications, main streets, water and sewers systems, industrial park, roads. This event
will benefit a lot on built capital. For instance, the competitors will need good road work network
to move from one place to another. At Auckland city the roads network is well maintained which
will provide smooth transport.

example, industrial park will helps both the in attendance and competitors who attends the events
in the long run. Other built capital such as water and sewer systems is essential to both the

are also key aspect in these events.
Hinder the staging of the event
However, some built capital may hinder the event in one way or the other. For example,
bad maintained roads network will hinder the players and officials when moving from one place
to the other, the time taken will be much higher than the required time. To avoid hindrance,
infrastructures must be maintained in a good shape in the long run.
