human beings in the society itself. Using speech, the humans are able to communicate their
needs and demands other in the society itself. Public Speaking is considered to be one of the
most necessary elements of human survival. It is because of the use of the public speech that
the human beings are able to present ideas and help each other in need (Bansal et. all, 2013).
Some experts are of the opinion that it is very important for the human beings to learn to
analyse and understand the audience before they deliver a speech to them. The first reason for
this is audiences are of different classes and categories. It can be said that no group of
audiences are the same (Landes, 2014). Each group of audiences have different needs and
demands from each other. Therefore, the experts are of the opinion that it is better to listen to
the audiences before delivering a public speech. It would help the speaker to understand what
the audience expects of him. If the speaker makes the speech before understanding what the
audience expects of him, it would lead to miscommunication and the audience will be
disappointed with the speaker.
The second reason for understanding the audience before delivering the speech is because of
the fact that the understanding the audience will, also help the speaker to achieve their goals
and objectives easily without facing any difficulties (Landes, 2013). This can be best
explained in terms of a marketer. The marketer needs to first understand what the audience
form him/her, and then he needs to make the speech so that the is able to fulfil the need and
the demands of the audience he wants to target in the market. It can be seen that if the
marketer successfully meets the demands of the audience in the marketplace, the audience
will buy his products/services more often. This will help the marketer to earn the maximum
