Here in the given case the issue is associated with choosing the appropriate university for
pursuing the accountancy degree. Choosing the appropriate university is the most crucial decision
made by the any student. The student’s enjoyment of the course has huge impact on overall
experience of the university. I already know that various universities are there in Australia that offer
accountancy degree course with highly qualified lecturers and bright future. However, I need to find
which university will be most appropriate for me in terms of fees, timing and distance.
Research
Information I need can be primarily found from the official website of different universities.
Further, various education related websites like www.studyinaustralia.gov.au and
www.universitiesaustralia.edu.au may provide information I need for making proper choice. From
these websites I found that various reputed universities in Australia that provide accountancy
courses are – (i) Central Queensland (CQ) University Australia (ii) University of Notre Dame
Australia (iii) University of Wollongong and (iv) University of Sunshine Coast. Various
information found for these universities are as follows –
 CQ University – it is among the largest universities those are based in the regional Australia
having locations in each mainland state. It has 14 campuses in different regions. This
university is well known for the safety of students and campus facilities. It has gained the
recognition for carrying out various works those are focussed on industry and learning
related programmes. Course fee for accountancy degree will be ranged from AED 22,000 –
AED 24,000 (Cqu.edu.au, 2018).
 University of Notre Dame Australia – it is considered as one of the growing stars of the
Australian universities. It was founded in December 1989 through the Act of the Parliament
of Western Australia. It is well known for embracing the tradition of modern Australian
university as well as the esteemed and ancient traditions of the Catholic universities. Course
fee for accountancy degree will be ranged from AED 25,000 – AED 26,000 (Notre Dame,
2018).
 University of Wollongong – it has become the benchmark for the new generation
universities of Australia. It has been ranked among top universities globally and built the
reputation as the enterprising institution with multi – disciplinary approach for researching
and has a personalised approach towards teaching. Course fee for accountancy degree will
be ranged from AED 23,000 – AED 24,000 (Uow.edu.au, 2018).

 University of Sunshine Coast – it is one of the fastest growing Australian regional
universities and has been ranked as one of the 150 top young universities in Australia. It
offers flexible studies at the teaching network location among Fraser Coast and Brisbane. It
is also regarded as home for some of most advanced Australian learning facilities. Course
fee for accountancy degree will be ranged from AED 26,000 – AED 29,000 (Usc.edu.au,
2018).
The above information will definitely help me out in choosing the appropriate university for
pursuing accountancy degree course. Further the relevant information gathered from the websites of
the universities and various education sites of Australia are reliable as I can rely on the information
gathered and the data seemed to be consistent, trustworthy, dependable, sure, genuine and unfailing.
Further the information gathered are reputable as most of the student use these sites for making
decisions regarding their degree course.
Evaluation
As I am comparing the above universities I found that CQ University will be most suitable
for me considering the fee structure and location. Though all the 4 universities I have considered are
reputed and well known universities in Australia for their teaching staff, future focussed learning
guidance and student facilities, the major difference among the universities was the fee structure.
Hence, if the location and fee structure is considered which the biggest factors in pursuing the
course are, CQ University will be most appropriate for serving my purpose. Various reasons are
there that influence to choose CQ University. These are as follows –
Reputation –
In past 25 years, CQ University achieved amazing feats and emerged itself as one of the
great universities of Australia. They have been ranked as one of the best with regard to the learning
and teaching and are identified globally for focussing on the social innovation. Further, most of
their graduates are most sought after in Australia owing to their reputation in terms of work
integrated learning, experience and courses aligned with industry.
Inclusiveness –
CQ University is regarded most inclusive university within the higher education segment of
Australia. Further, the university respect as well as seek complete participation from the students,
staffs and community and value diversity for the culture, experience and backgrounds.
Academic support –

This university provides the students with the option for accessing the services associated
with academic supports through academic learning centre (ALC). ALC is the one stop shop for the
information, resources and advice associated to various academic communications, statistics,
mathematics, accounts, computer requirements and sciences.
Answer
Based on the above discussion I have decided that I will choose CQ University for the
accountancy degree course. CQ University is further considered as the most engaged and inclusive
university in Australia with award winning research and academic staff making the real impact on
industries and communities to which they belong. Further, the learning advisors are available
always for assisting in online or on-campus through one-on-one workshops or appointments
designed for specific project. It defines itself through the persons who embrace it rather than who it
excludes (Studyinaustralia.gov.au, 2018). Owing to this the university feels proud for having
highest ratio with regard to the disadvantaged backgrounds as compared to other universities from
Australia. However, in terms of fee structure and availability of location my 2nd choice will be
University of Wollongong, 3rd choice will be University of Notre Dame Australia and last choice
will be University of Sunshine Coast. For justifying my conclusion I will submit the course fee
structure obtained from the websites of the universities, students reviews gathered from various
educational websites and past trends of students getting jobs in different reputed companies after
passing out from the universities (Universitiesaustralia.edu.au, 2018). However, these evidences are
not enough as personal past experience is most important factor in pursuing the course with any
particular university.
