Title: Use of Augment reality in Mobile devices
Rationale:
Geographic information system is the most common application of mobile devices which is
based on the concept of augmented reality. Augment reality is the concept used in the
emerging technologies and innovation in the capstone project. The concept of augment reality
is used for converting the environment into digital information. The application of geographic
information system was developed for storing, analysing, and capturing data of the object
position with regards to the earth. Latitude and longitudes are used for measuring the position
of object. Object visualization can be effectively done with the use of emerging technology
named as geographic information system.
Problem Domain:
The mission of this research proposal is to formulate the functioning of geographic
information system in context to the fundamentals of augment reality.
Purpose and justification
The purpose of this paper is to understand the concepts of how augment reality is
advantageous for geographic information system, what is the future scope of using Augment
reality in GIS and what is the role of accurate data collected.
Sponsor or supervisor recommendation
It is recommended that the literature review of latest articles and journals should be carried
out which helps in bringing accuracy in the project proposal according to the innovative
trends and technologies.
Research questions
ï‚· What is the use of augment reality in the formulation of geographic information
system?
ï‚· What are the application of augment reality in the GIS environment
ï‚· What are the resources required for the implication of augment reality in the mobile
world?

Theoretical framework
Particulars Description
Achievement How the digital data can be captured from the
location
Processing Integrity, accuracy, and coherence should be
maintained in the database
Data analysis The following information should be studied:
Where: Finding the location of the object
under taken for study in terms of latitude and
longitude
What: What are the elements should be used
in the sample size for studying augment
reality concept
How: Organization of the resources and the
digital data
When: Temporal analysis should be carried
out for converting the data into digital
information in the geographic information
system based on augment reality (Amaduzzi,
2016)
Display The digital information which is captured
should be visualized in the database for
increasing the understanding ability of the
user. The virtual environment should be
created for the components and devices to set
the digital environment of augment reality for
finding the location of the object (Arias,

2015).
Quality Quality of the visualization depends upon the
internal and external data collected from
different sources.
Methodology
It helps in developing the difference in the physical and the digital environment created by
the augment reality concept (Hans, 2013). The concept of augment reality in the GIS helps
help in reducing the gaps which exist between the physical environment and the digital
environment created by the mobile devices (Garg, 2016). The aim of the GIS is to provide
clear location of the physical object in terms of latitude and longitude with respect to the
earth location. The qualitative methodology is used for carrying out the research work
through making study of literature review on the data collected from different sites, articles,
e-books, and journals.
Research and system development method
Literature review of different articles and journals should be reviewed periodically. The
accuracy should be achieved in the collection of sample size for the study of connection
between the augment reality and the geographic information system (Hugues, 2013). The
findings of the research questions should be documented properly in the project closure
report.
Data collection or system design methods
There are different sources available for collecting the data for carrying over literature review
of the project undertaken which are categorised as availability of online books, publication of
the journal articles (Rowe, 2013), articles searched from different websites, literature review
of the project blogs, availability of different website for information on GIS, installation of
the mobile application, and project library

Ethical issues
The ethical issues which exist with the participant in carrying over the literature review and
research work are loss of confidence in the participants and negative feedback can affect the
motivation in the working of the participants
Compliance requirements
The compliance requirement of the research study are categorised as appropriate measures
should be used for collecting data, inaccuracy in collecting sample, selection of observing
methodology, and comparison of positive and negative result of the data collected
Analysis of data
The concept of augment reality is used for identifying the components utilised in the
development of the geographic information system. The capabilities of the devices used
should be measured in terms of augment reality. The most commonly components which are
used in the development of the GIS system are processor, GPS system, network, memory
management system, and display. The accuracy should be achieved in locating the location of
the devices which are taken under consideration (Zaragozi, 2015). The amalgamation of
augment reality with the geographic information system helps in managing the location of
physical object in the digital world by defining their location in the units of latitudes and
longitude in reference to the earth axis.
Project plan
The project is capable of providing information related to the use of augment reality is
collecting information in relation to the geographic information system (Zlatanova, 2012).
The research questions are thoroughly reviewed for the literature collected for analysis. The
conclusion and the recommendation should be provided in the closure report of the project.
The project is completed within the period of three months.
