Aussie Vacancies is a travel agency which provide qualified self-catering accommodation to
their customer. It was started by David Martin and John West in 2010. There business is rapidly
grown and able to achieve goal and objective. They earn $6.5 million every year and run their
business with 85 staff at 2 offices. The report highlights the different risk associated with the
project like market risk, financial risk, technical risk, people risk etc. It explains the different
activities of the project by work break down structure and Gantt chart. It also explains the
stakeholders' communication analysis to create positive environment and understanding for
initiating the project. The report also highlights the use of net present value for identifying that
whether the project is benefited for the Travel agency or not. The monthly progress report will
help Aussie vacancies to estimate the progress and status of project at different time interval.
MAIN BODY
Project Risk
1. Market Risk: The major risk which is associated through market is relating to facing
losses in respect of reputation. In these factors, If the IT project creates a new product in
market, and they are planned with all the activity which result in facing risk in market
than such strategies is useful and innovative for market. The users will avail such
products if the IT department promotes such products in right way (Melendez and et.al.,
2017). If the Travel agency bring products in market they are also facing risk. Thus, it
brings more competitors in market for the same products. In this project, Aussie
vacancies is launching the new websites to attract the customers interest thus, Peter Clay,
IT manager had to use innovative technology to attract large scale of customer towards
their travel agency business.
2. Financial Risk: The project which is related to internet based system requires lot of
finance to engage the business activities for long term growth (Hwang and et.al., 2016).
In that case organization had already make budget to implement such system in better
perspective. Thus, Aussie vacancy can afford to bring such project in their business so
that they can manage the project in more structured way. Due to changes in time,
Customer are preferring more innovative technology to book the services online. Thus,
Document Page
through this perspective, the financial resource which is invested in organization is the
best way to make the project successful.
3. Technological Risk: The main objective of the Aussie vacancy is to reach to large
number of customers and avail the best online services in respect of online booking.
Thus, to initiate with any project technology plays an important role. Technology helps
the Travel agency to determine the various aspects and needs of the customers and track
the record to analyse their interest in travel agency business (Sobol and Fadeev, 2018).
Thus, to bring business online or by promoting the websites through digital platform,
innovative technology is to be adapted to get frequent reviews from customers and also
risk is associated in respect of customers making online booking. If the booking is not
confirmed by the Travel agency or their booking not reach to Aussie vacancy, in that
cases risk occurs. In order to bring new technology is market, it also results in facing lack
of data protection security.
4. People Risk: In this case, the project related to internet based system requires skilled
person to handle the issue which is raised by customer at the time of viewing the Travel
agency profile. Thus, project manager is appointed to tackle all the department employees
and assign the task which is to be accomplished within stipulated time period. In case of
Aussie vacancy, the new project which they are working for is related to online websites
for booking (Parihar, Bhar and Kumar, 2015). Thus, in this case E-con is the project
manager of the Travel agency which is also playing the role of most of the development
work in the project. As senior mangers support or handle the project matters is case of
absence of project manager. The relationship with sponsor and customers are good as
Aussie vacancy carry a strong brand image and also customer are attracted towards the
services which they are providing. In that case due to having skilled person in premises,
sponsor are ready to invest in the available project. If customer get the accurate answers
of their queries raised, they are more attracted with the services.
5. Structure/ Project risk: The positive change through which the Travel agency can get
by introducing the new project are relating to attracting new customer towards their
services which the Aussie vacancy is offering (Malik and Singh, 2017). To work on some
project various employees are needed to handle the particular department and carrying
such activity to get more chances of success. To satisfy a project two team are required

one will develop the MIS aspects of the new systems and other one is led by E-Con's
Siobhan Reid who will look after the internet software. For bringing the new project
which is related to internet based system, in this the major relationship is with the IT
department. Thus, Aussie vacancy uses the various techniques which resulting in
increasing the chances of getting success in the project.

WBS is a hierarchical document which is used by the organization to break the work into
different department and delegate work into manageable sections (What is a work breakdown
