and many other places. In the recent time fire has taken place at Australia. The bushfires in

the people of the country. The present report will outline the disaster taken place in Australia and
how the different stakeholders respond to this disaster and what they did for its improvement.
MAIN BODY
Fire disaster
Victoria is a state in the southeast Australia where the fire broke out and it covered the
area of about 1.2 million hectares. This was named as the state of disaster as the fire hit the area
starting from 2 January to 11 January (Australia fires: a visual guide to the bushfire crisis, 2020).
This fire also damaged the nearby areas in Australia. This fire was concentrated on the southeast
coast of Australia and the states of New South Wales and Victoria. Also, the fire has hit every
Australian state and nearby territory. Prior to the fire, the country was recorded the driest and
hottest country the whole year. Along with the heat there was brisk winds which intensified the
fire risk. Due to this fire disaster many people have died in Victoria and also for their rescue the
military of Australia has sent many ships, aircrafts and troops to the affected area to help the
people of Australia in mitigating with the effects of the fire disaster.
Response strategy of stakeholder
The fire was so intense that there were many damages and loss of different types of assets
and people of the country. Thus, for managing and controlling this situation many of the

nearby countries, people living in the country, its residents and many other people interested in
the growth of country. The major two stakeholder who were most interested in the revival and
restoration of the other neighbouring countries.
These two are interested in the growth of the country because of the reason that the
sources of income for the government has stopped (Pooley, 2017). This is majorly because of the

the company only support. Further the other countries are affected because many businesses have
been suffered because of the fact that business from Australia has been affected because of fire.
Thus, for improving the state of Australia from the fire the following response strategy have been
adopted by the government and the other countries (Paton and Johnston, 2017).
Response strategy by government
The government of Australia is taking many different measures in order to improve the
state of Australia after the damage. For this the major strategy being adopted by the government
is that they have appointed more than 3000 army and naval and air force people to help and save
the people from the fire. Also, approximately 3700 fire fighters and support crew were appointed
on the ground of Australia to manage the problems occurred due to huge fire outburst. Also, the
government of Australia was the around 440 emergency personnel was appointed in the city of
Swan Reach in Victoria. Also, the government need to take care of the people suffering from the
disaster and to provide them with shelter and some minimum pay to manage their livelihood and
basic needs.
The one more strategy being adopted by the government of Australia is that they must
develop a strong rescue team which is helpful in mitigating with the fire disaster. Also, this team
must be trained so well that it is in capacity of mitigating any of the disaster or mis happening.
Thus, this will help the government in mitigating the mishap or disaster in future as well. Further
another strategy for the government to apply is to buy and store the equipment, capital goods,
advance fire management equipment so that if there is future case of fire disaster then it will be
helpful for the government to manage the fire and to recover from them. Further the next strategy
being implemented by the government of Australia is that they must conduct some of the training
programs and sessions in which they will train and educate the people in ways of manage the fire
and how to recover from the damages of the fire.
Other countries
On the other hand, the neighbouring countries are also providing help to Australia in
order to help Australia to revive from the disaster of fire. For the other country it is necessary to
revive the country from the fire because of the reason that the trade of these countries with
Australia has been hampered because of this fire disaster. Thus, the other countries are trying and
assisting the government of Australia in improving its state after the fire disaster (Australia fires:
what’s being done to fight the flames? 2020). Thus, for this the other countries like Canada, US,
been suffered because of the fact that business from Australia has been affected because of fire.

New Zealand and other nearby countries are trying to help Australia in revival of its old form by
providing them with personnel of fire fighters, who can help the sufferer from recovering.
Also, the other countries are providing with different equipment and tools for recovering
from the disaster. Further also, some of the countries are also providing financial help to
Australia as their money is also wasted on recovering from the fire disaster. The other strategy
which is being used by the other countries is that they are also providing shelter to the people and
residents of Australia in their country. This is majorly because of the reason that due to fire in
Australia the homes and building have been damaged and the people have not much space to
live. Thus, till the rehabilitation of the places take place till that time the people are sheltered in
the nearby countries.
Another response strategy used by the other country is that they have also provided
Australia with different types of business opportunities. This has been proposed by the different
countries because of the reason that because of fire many or almost all the business have been
damaged and harmed and they are not in condition of doing the business. Thus, the company is
providing many different types of business opportunities for the growth and development of the
business in Australia.
Critical analysis of strategy
From the viewpoint of Rawluk Ford, Neolaka and Williams (2017) the strategy of
government that is the use of army and naval air force is good as they have the capability of
managing and rescuing the people. Also, these people are very strong and if they have to lift
some people and rescue them then also they can do this as they have much power and capability
of lifting people. But Sangha and et.al. (2017) states that providing of the shelter and some pay to
the people is a much better strategy as because of fire the house and building have damaged and
for this they need some place to live and this is a better strategy for the government to use.
Thompson, Trigg and Smith, (2017) articulates that the financial assistance provided by
the other country is a good strategy because in this tough time the government of Australia is
providing finance to the people suffering from the fire disaster. Thus, there is limited financial
resources with the government of Australia. Thus, this financial help from the other countries
will help the Australian government in assisting the people of Australia in much better way. But
Sawyer and Roberts, (2018) argues that providing shelter is more successful strategy because
with fire all the place has been damaged to a great extent. Thus, to overcome this much time will
providing them with personnel of fire fighters, who can help the sufferer from recovering.

shelter is a better option and response strategy.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that any disaster can damage the country and
its performance to a great extent. This is majorly because of the reason that this will hamper the
working of the country and its management of the things to a great extent. Thus, it is very
important for the country and its government to have good plan for the mitigation of the disaster.
Thus, the present report focused and started by the description of the disaster which took place at
Australia. Further the different strategies adopted by the different stakeholder for the revival of
Australian state from the disaster was discussed. The two major stakeholders were the
government of Australia and other countries. Both these stakeholders undertake and initiated
many different types of response strategy for mitigating the country from the disaster.
