reasonably meet commercial, industrial, social needs of community (Aas & Rubin, 2015). The
act clearly provides the standards of performance like frequencies and delivery time that were set
for the Australian post. Moreover, the act is also responsible for the improvement in technique
for universal service and the use is open to scrutiny, which can be competitive advantage for the
company. However the current techniques used by the company may lead to overestimation of
the cost. Nevertheless, another key advantage for the Australia post is that there is reserve
service by Australia post that reflect restriction for certain types of letters for the competitors.
