As per the estimate of the students who are going to Australia, it has been seen that the most
preferable destination for the people is Australia. Although, there are some international students
who face challenges to get accustomed to the changes, challenges and the culture in Australia.
The universal problem is by the students who tend to study in foreign land in top universities of
Australia (Wu et al., 2015). A proper management of the abilities and studies can help in
managing with international studies.
Thesis Statement: It is important to face challenges in life and international students
especially in Australia see the major effects, due to the problems discussed below.
Problem 1:
Social-Cultural Adjustments: They focus on how the person can feel isolated when
they are exposed to the competent culture. For this, the students from Asia, Africa and other
countries expect a cultural shock. Feeling lonely, home sickness or sometimes the disturbing
sleep pattern could lead to major issues in studies. The international students also do not have a
proper accommodation which tends to make the situation worse. Hence, it is important to focus
on the different remedies which are discussed below (Murray et al., 2016).
Remedy: The colleges and the universities have certain Student Officers who should organise
the workshops with the needful resources. This will tend to aid till the students graduate. The on-
arrival reception, proper orientation, workshops and the other recreational activities could be

helpful for the foreign students (Bertram et al., 2014). The students can find friends and
acquaintances so that they are not lonely and deprived.
Problem 2:
Expectations in Education: As per the educational system in Australia, there have been
different ways in which the autonomous learning is encouraged with the critical thinking, and
other problem-solving activities. It is important for the international students to wok on the
varied background when the people feel confused about the learning outcomes. The students can
also be directed to work independently or in a specific group to complete the tasks and the other
assignments (Deresky, 2017). The coordination at work is important.
Remedy: The employing of Academic Developers to work with the other staff in the
college. This will help the international students who tend to face issues in properly
understanding the lectures. Along with this, the students should also try themselves to be familiar
with the academic systems. The institutions tend to provide with specific norms and expectation,
leaving behind the rationales.
Conclusion
The problems and the difficulties certainly look tough to be handled. At the time of addressing
them problem, it becomes easy as well. The challenges will always be there in life, wherever one
goes, and so it is important to focus on education and good results, while leaving your country
and going for international studies (McKay et al., 2017). In order to overcome the difficulties,
there is a need to make sure one comes out with the best results.
