AI Summary
This report provides an overview of water scarcity and water management issues in Australia, with a specific focus on Perth. It explores the causes of water scarcity, including drought, overpopulation, and pollution, and examines the effects on the population, river health, and agriculture. The report also assesses strategies used to overcome water scarcity, such as water restrictions, groundwater usage, and desalination technologies. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of individual and community actions, and the role of government and NGOs in managing water resources. The report includes references to relevant books, journals, and online resources, along with illustrations depicting water levels and sources in Australia. STEP 1:
Australia
Water restriction have been enacted in many cities and regions in many of the cities and
regions in Australia (Cosgrove and Rijsberman, 2014). It is the another logistical issues which
creates the majorly given goals towards the better service level. In Australia due to chronic water
shortage resulting from the widespread drought. Its depends on the location which includes
restrictions on watering lawns, using sprinkler systems, washing vehicles, hosing pavement,
refilling swimming pools etc.
Another reason of water scarcity issues is over population and drying climate which
supplying the law drinking water and sources to supplement existing sources. In terms of
Australia driest inhabited continent, it is suffering from the worst drought conditions in past
history (Steduto and et.al., 2017). As per the result findings many other countries also affected
from water scarcity such are Singapore, San Marino, Kuwait and Qatar etc.
STEP 2:
Perth in Australia
Cape Town is almost turned to out of water, it is the first major city. It often faced with
this question to most of the essential purposeful uses. On the basis of given picture and growth, it
has been seen that, drying climate is the biggest issue due to low rainfall by 3mm per year on an
average (Perth really running out of water? Well, yes and no, 2018). Dry climate comprises the
regions that are characterized by dry climates. Another issues facing by the country is reduction
in per capital use of drinking water is just as well, since, 1970s, Perth has been used groundwater
instead of dam water.

On the basis of above data and stressed capital is Adelaide. This brings the new major
goals and objective performing task (Cape Town is almost out of water. Could Australian cities
suffer the same fate? 2018). In Australia cities people are stopped using water by 20% to 30%.
Capacity in 2007.
Location: Perth
Latitude and longitude Coordinates are: 31.953512, 115.857048
It is the largest and the most populous city in Australia which is located in western state
of the country that shores of the Indian ocean. Perth expected elevation is 15 meters’ height that
is equal to 49 feet (Decimal latitude and longitude coordinates for Perth, 2015).

STEP 3:
Water management affects the population
People of Australia has facing many issues given below:
Consumption: Water scarcity has been increasing the demand consumption availability
of water by the population. Another farmer also faced the lack of water consumption level and
leading challenging goals (Pedro-Monzonís and et.al., 2015). This also helps to take the serious

concern about the matter of fact. This also makes the work related goals. This also helps to
control the matter of performing level.
River health: Water quality is directly related to river and wetland health. This makes
the long term challenging goals.
Australia is the full of food exporting country. Due to water scarcity they facing the
issues of dry land farming production and exports.
STEP 4:
Causes and effects
The major cause of water scarcity is pollution, threatened water, unhealthy increased
poverty and heightened conflict which comes in many forms in the city due to which water get
polluted and affected. On the other hand, another major cause of the role is chemical or spoil
spill can permanently taint water (Pedro-Monzonís and et.al., 2015). Along with that it also helps
to control the major performance goals. Overall, it takes the long term goal and objective to
retain water in the best possible manner. Clean drinking water is scarce and there are a million of
people across. Another major effects of water scarcity are lower crop yield and the death of liver
stock that leads to death of livestock.
Cause and effects
water pollution
It is the foremost cause of water scarcity, the sources of water pollution include
pesticides and fertilizers that wash away from human waste, which is directly dumped into
rivers.
Over population
it is the rapid factor that affect the water scarcity, due to massive growth of population.
Country transformed water ecosystem and resulted loss of biodiversity.
Agriculture
Agriculture uses majorly water resources for planting the crops and seeds. Due to lack
freshwater resources or wasted water population and animal get affected from this cause.
Hunger
It is the another cause of water scarcity that is very crucial for growing crops and to care
for live stock animals. Water shortage means the practice of growing crops is highly impacted as
well.

STEP 5
Discuss and assess the strategies used to overcome from water scarcity
Australia government has adopted many strategies towards the improving irrigation
efficiency level or switching from flood irrigation system. Along with that, many NGOs are also
drawing the new water storage strategies to get over from the serious concern. New technologies
of desalinizing help to convert the seawater into freshwater that helps to drink pure water for
bathing, cooking and drinking (Pedro-Monzonís and et.al., 2015).
Individual and Community actions
Individual and community is also accountable for maintaining the water usefulness. For
maintaining the stability of water resources, Individual community can support the
implementation of water scarcity which is a significant for achieving those goals. For removing
this issue there must be proper use of facilities management and operations and also uses of
process analysis with the help in proper implementation of ideas and techniques. People should
take care of water and try to store water for future use. People should not waste water. Rain
water can be preserve which will help in dealing with the issue of water scarcity.
STEP 6
Organize information
Water is the valuable resource in all purposes in daily life cycle. Australians rely on water
inputs to almost every part of the industry area. It is the majorly long term goal. And all
resources full source management. With uncontrollable population of Australia rise the demand
of water gradually. The demand of water has been increased for domestic, industrialist and
agricultural purposes.
