Part 1
The major five career trends that are predicted to grow in the next five years are as
follows:
Health care
Optometrists
Computer professionals
HR personnel
Retail managers
Health care (Increasing):
The health care sector is expected to increase rapidly in the coming few years. The
career opportunity in this sector is deemed to witness a growth of more than 20% in the coming
five years. The demand for child carer is gaining popularity and this shall increase as a result
employment equalities. The gender equality shall generate more employment opportunities for
the women. In the next five years, it is expected that the number of working mothers shall
increase at a fast pace (McGraw, 2014). This will result in the demand for more child carers.
Therefore, the individuals who shall possess the necessary qualifications and experience in

prescribing glasses and contact lenses and treating other issues related to eyes. They are required
to analyze the patient’s medical information and provide them proper treatment. They are
required to possess a Doctor level or Masters level degree in optometry (Waxman & Williams,
2015). The demand for optometrists is expected to increase in the next five years.
Computer professional (Decreasing):
A majority of the companies in Australia are dependent upon computer networking due
to which the demand for computer professionals is always high in Australia (Albrecht et al.,
2015). However, the market might become saturated in the next five years that could lead to
reduced number of employments in this sector.
HR personnel (Increasing):
There has been a recent trend of outsourcing the human resource related functions.
Nowadays, the companies do not want to waste their time, effort and money in recruitment
processes rather, they outsource their recruitment functions to another organization that is expert
in finding the best candidate as per the requirements of the other organizations (Wilton, 2016).
This trend is going to increase in the coming years that shall result in a high demand for
recruiters and human resource managers.
Retail managers (Increasing):
The management jobs are likely to increase in the upcoming years due to the growth of
the retail sector. This shall provide an opportunity to the MBA students who pursue their career
in retail management. This job role shall require understanding the needs and requirements of the

Expected trends
A major rise in the employment opportunities is expected to be witnessed by the retail
sector and the recruitment agencies or consultancies. A majority of the companies in Australia
are unwilling to devote their time in recruiting and selecting the employees. The process involves
huge costs such as cost of advertisements and hiring efficient recruiters. Nowadays, the
organizations are able to get this process done by some external third party organization that is
responsible for attracting the right candidates and selecting the best out of them. These third
party organizations are responsible for conducting the research and selection process,
maintaining the proper database and even looking after the payroll. This enables the
organizations to save their time, effort and money by getting the recruitment and selection done
by the organizations who specialize in this job (Cavusgil et al., 2014).
Another sector that is expected to witness massive growth is the retail sector. The retail
business in Australia is gaining popularity and there are several new retail companies that are
emerging in the nation. This shall generate employment opportunities for the management
students or experiences retail managers.

are generated by the financial sector (Pickering, 2015). The activities I am likely to undertake is
of a HR consultant. The job responsibilities shall involve hiring the best suitable candidates for
the required organizations. In order to avail such jobs, an individual is required to possess an
MBA degree with specialization in Human resource management.
Likely income:
These consultancies hire students mainly from the B- schools and provide salary to the

in the experience. An experienced HR professional can earn an average salary of $250000 and
above (Stout, 2017).

sustainability is very important for the overall development of the business firms and the society.
The organization establishes partnerships with several other businesses and government in order

significance of online networking. The present deficiency of supposed "super abilities" will keep
on driving work development in Australia. Specific deficiencies are in ICT, Digital Marketing
and Mobile advancement. The expanding significance of mobile implies that it will move past
organizations essentially requiring a versatile or responsive site or application and will include
full versatile enhancement and online networking advertising techniques also. Recruitment will
concentrate progressively on passive contender to fill these profoundly skilled roles because of a
deficiency of dynamic applicants with proper experience and aptitudes. Social expert systems are

the speediest wellspring of quality hires internationally and this has expanded 73% in the course
of recent years. LinkedIn keeps on being famous for selection representatives, candidates and
bosses and is an essential place to organize, introduce data and profiles and additionally keep up
an individual or business mark. Social expert systems now represent around 60% of hires. There
is additionally a move towards specialty related informal communities, for example, Procurious
(acquirement experts), and Research Gate (researchers) to fill the developing requirement for
master industry associations. Online job portals deliver the most elevated amount of hires (75%)
with the organization vocation site representing around 65% and inner hiring at 60% (Mertens,
2014). This is probably going to be because of the simplicity of applying for jobs on the web. All
around, recruitment pioneers expect social and expert systems, manager brand and passive
enrolling to be probably the most basic and enduring patterns in for the next five years.
Enhanced candidates and employment coordinating will keep on being the most vital patterns for
Australia. Comprehensively, organizations are putting all the more intensely in their ability and
business mark. Putting resources into the business image will spare the cash. The cost per
recruitment is twofold that for organizations with a solid brand image. Also, organizations with a
strong goodwill have 25% lower turnover rates. With difficult to fill parts, recruiting passive
competitors is a critical source as these candidates frequently put a higher incentive on
organization culture and are pulled in by circumstances that offer difficulties, development
prospects and a chance to build up their aptitudes. 75% of worldwide talent procurement
pioneers state that the talent brands significantly affect their capacity to employ quality talent.
Strategy for gaining employement:
A few popular consulting firms in Australia involve Deloitte, PWC and KPMG. Other firms
include Accenture, IBM, McKinsey and BCG. I would like to target these companies as these are
