Introduction
The domestic violence is considered as violence, misuse and bullying between the
individuals who are presently or have formerly been in the intimate relation. In the following
parts, the problem of domestic violence, affected people, occurrence, impact, and prevalence of
domestic violence, consequences and solution of domestic violence is discussed and critically
examined.
Problem of domestic violence
In Australia, the domestic violence is described under the Family Law Act 1975 as
"ferocious, frightening, or other conduct by the individual that forces and regulates members of
the family, or causes members of family to be terrible. In Australia, it is important social issue
that has key influence on the health of females in the society.
People affected by problem
As per the survey, one in six women as well as one in twenty men have experienced
minimum one instance of the domestic violence from present or former companion since an age
of 15

of Australia, enhanced to some extent from 1.98 % to 2 %. Now it is increasing more (Coomber,
et. al, 2019).
Consequences of problem
The problem of domestic violence is not new. The men are abusing women from old
time. It had negative impact on the society and economy of the nation (Stubbs & Wangmann,
2017).
Importance of fixing problem
To maintain just and equality, the domestic violence should be ended very soon. The best
way to fix this problem is to conduct prevention programs. There should be provision to make
penalty on the perpetrators for domestic violence. In addition, the government should increase
