Main challenges facing by the families in Australia
Every family and individual faces many types of challenges in their daily life which also
includes diversity in the country. Any type of diversity of Country impacts families and
individuals in many ways. The main diversities which are facing by the Australian families are
cultural diversity, social diversity and political diversity (Hillman, 2016). The following essay
will discuss the daily life challenges of Australian families and individuals because of the social,
political and cultural diversity. As well as essay will highlight the impact of these issues on
social work practices, social life, and Aboriginal families.
The governments, communities and political parties of countries which are advanced and
developing countries work together to include their representative's voice and interest by
incorporating a variety of representative policy into their charters for better social, economic and
political progress as well as their stability and that make every effort to adopt. Australia also
adopts this policy and the concept of participatory governance or process is known as political
diversity. Some experts say that according to the concept of changes or diversity, acceptance and
respect are its two main factors (Jun, 2014). According to this concept, each person is unique and
by this individual differences are identified. These may be along with measurements of ethnicity,
race, sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status and conditions, age, physical power and
ability, political belief, religious belief, or other ideologies (Rosenwald, Wiener, Smith-Osborne,
& Smith, 2012).
Through this method, this kind of discovery is possible in a safe, nurturing and positive
environment. It is a technique for embracing the rich dimension of diversity inherent within each
bar, which is about considerate each other and stepping with simple tolerance. Therefore,
political diversity is a framework in which decision-making processes that affect their lives allow
for the establishment of a representative government of the country but this is only a fraction
(Inbar & Lammers, 2012).
Political diversity is a system that enables individuals of one country to state
representative regime where the decision-making process that made the application affecting
their lives. It brings together the fields of different bodies from different ethnic groups, religions,
and governments respecting and acknowledging the human and political interests of all

stakeholders. Politics of Australia is much diversified and it diversifies as climate change.
Political diversities not only impact people or individuals but it also impacts the international
businesses. In general, a universal financial specialist is often faced with the risk of asset return

outside speculation. There is always the danger of not being able to change the local currency in
foreign countries due to a change in foreign exchange or the law reducing domestic supply or
leaving the country. Also, contingent upon where a venture is situated inside a nation, the danger
of harm to an office or interference of business tasks on account of political viciousness can
emerge all of a sudden (Binning & Sears, 2015).
Australia is dynamic and can be described as a multicultural country, which is home to
the world's culture and peoples, can identify with over 270 tribes. Since 1945, the number of
people who migrated to Australia from different parts of the world has been around seven
million. India believes that its main strength is that rich cultural diversity is a symbol of national
identity. In 1945, the Law of Racial Discrimination Act; This means that it is illegal in this
country to discriminate. Later in 1995, it was extended by the Act to ensure that it is against the
law to commit racial hatred. Until now, the collective commitment to ensuring the act sends a
strong message to Australia to promote racial equality and the importance of justice for all
(Cultural Diversity, 2017).
Diversity also exists in contexts and atmospheres in which individuals and families live
that way. Community, climate variability and social and cultural characteristics of a variety of
settings are reflected in the land, a variety of settings provided health care. Health care in rural or
community health settings, delivered at home, in remote areas and in urban hospitals or outside
acute settings (Piller, 2014).
The multicultural policies of Australia depend on the basic four principles. The first
principle is every person takes responsibility. All Australian people have a city obligation to help
those fundamental structures and standards of Australian culture, which assurance people to take
opportunity and fairness and empower decent variety in our general public to thrive. The second
principle is every person respects each other. There is a shared obligation for all Australians to
have the right to show their beliefs and cultures to respect the same rights for others. The third
principle is fairness for each individual (Smits, 2011). All Australians are qualified for fairness

of treatment and opportunity. Social value enables all people to add to the social, political and
monetary existence of Australia. The fourth principle is benefits for all. All Australians profit by
the critical cultural, social and monetary profits emerging from the assorted variety of our
populace. All these policies depend on the behavior of individuals and these policies impact the
behavior of families as well as individuals.
Income is an important point in relation to poverty, but other factors are also important
for good health. The broadest definition of poverty includes access to health care, clean water,
sanitation, literacy, and infant mortality. Poverty and disease are inseparably connected in an
immediate relationship with riches, the more unfortunate the individual the more noteworthy the
occurrence of sick wellbeing, the more extravagant the individual the less regular the rate of sick
wellbeing (Omeri & Raymond, 2009).
An effective community wherein people of various ethnicity, strict conviction, financial
status, language, geographic starting point, sex and/or sexual direction bring their own distinctive
learning, foundation, experience, and enthusiasm to the advantage of their different network. As
they all add to the achievement of the community, people in a sound assorted society regard the
everyday understanding and the various perspectives, points of view and extraordinary
viewpoints of the individuals they know and effectively share. They are from progress in the
direction of accomplishing numerous shared objectives to assist the community in all (Elia,
Messeni Petruzzelli, & Piscitello, 2019).
As nations become increasingly different in ideas, thoughts and comprehension of social
assorted variety are advancing and due to this entrance, all are collaborating with individuals
around the globe by means of computerized media. Some accept that by sustaining solid and
amicable different social orders, many will enable the world to prevail by making completely
useful social orders of things to come. Social assorted variety or social diversity shifts from
society to society. In certain social orders, everyone can discover phonetic and social contrasts
while in certain social orders strict and racial varieties win. For instance, Australia is a nation of
assorted variety in all angles. In Belgium, individuals living in various districts communicate in
various dialects; however, both phonetic and strict contrasts exist in Sri Lanka. In this manner,
social varieties are not the equivalent; however, they take various structures in various social

as the main element and these are called its moral values. When it was introduced nearly 100
years ago, its main objective was to fulfill human needs as well as the development of
manpower. Social justice and human rights works give impetus to social work and they serve as
inspiration and justification for them (Elia, Messeni Petruzzelli, & Piscitello, 2019).
Social work promotes social inclusion of the deprived people, through which poverty can
be reduced and the vulnerable and oppressed are able to live well. Evils and obstacles spread in
society can be detected by social work such as inequality, injustice and many such obstacles can

be developed, their life can be enriched and the evils spread in the society can be stopped. Those
who do professional social work are focused on problem-solving and change. On this basis, it is
proved that social worker acts like a transformer in the life of every person, family, and
community in society and its importance increases for people like these. Social workers seek
solutions to the crisis, emergencies, and daily personal and social problems in society only
through their social work. Social work includes a scope of abilities, procedures, and exercises
with a welfare power on people and the environment around them, social work extending from
essential individual-based mental procedures to social strategy, arranging, and advancement.
These assignments incorporate directing, clinical, social work, a bunch of work, social
instructive work and family, therapy and treatment just as endeavors to help people in getting

where people from different regions have settled in different streams. Aboriginal, indigenous,
tribes, forest dwellers, wild, barbaric, and so on are synonymous with tribal words. There are
social and political references behind each of these words (Clarke & Boyle, 2014).

periphery and small population, as these cultures remain stable, cultural changes occurring in a
given period are relatively limited in their impact and prevalence. Conventional tribal cultures
look conservative in many aspects for this reason. Many forms of tribal cultures can still be seen
in North and South America, Africa, Australia, Asia, and many islands.
Primitive communities, which are much closer to the primitive stage in the social
development order, still have matriarchal families. The tribes or aboriginal that are matrilineal
are usually also matrilineal, where the husband is a permanent or temporary member of the
family (Couzos, Delaney‐Thiele, & Page, 2016).
From the above discussion on the impact of diversity on families and individuals, it can
be concluded that every type of diversity impacts the normal life of families and individuals but
this does not mean that it always impact in negative ways because sometimes, diversity impacts
individuals and families in positive ways also. The above essay discussed that social, political
and cultural diversity in Australia impacts the people, social workers, and aboriginal families.
The government created many policies related to every type of diversity and if people will follow
these policies then they can easily adapt to every type of change.
