This project provides a comprehensive analysis of the Australian gas market, focusing on AGL's sustainable procurement journey and project integration. It begins by describing the current gas market, including the roles of key regulatory bodies and the fluctuating gas prices, and examines the purchasing behavior of business and private customers. The project then outlines AGL's sustainable procurement practices, detailing the company's code of conduct for suppliers, procurement strategies, and the influence of suppliers on AGL's decisions. It further explores the impact of new technologies, such as virtual power plants, big data analytics, and battery storage, on both end customers and gas producers, highlighting the shift towards renewable energy sources like solar energy. Finally, the project develops a project integration management plan designed to facilitate the transition from traditional to sustainable procurement strategies for other gas suppliers, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy, supplier screening, and the reduction of environmental impacts.
