Business Management Research: Housing, Population, and Migration

This research proposal investigates the correlation between migration and housing prices in Australia's top five cities. The study aims to explore the factors driving rising housing costs, examine migration trends, and evaluate the impact of population changes on residential building prices. The research will address questions regarding the relationship between migration and housing prices, comparisons of city-specific influences, and the impact of changing price indices. Secondary data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and academic journals will be used, employing a mixed methodology that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. Quantitative methods will include statistical functions like cross-tabulations and regression, while qualitative analysis will involve descriptive analysis of literature. The research is planned to be completed within 12 weeks, including strategy formulation, literature review, data collection, analysis, and report submission. The study intends to provide insights into the housing crisis in Australia, considering factors like migration, ageing population, and economic aspects.
