Assess students personal reflection on contemporary welfare studies and
issues
Welfare studies are those part of education which consist of teaching how an individual
help other person by socially interacting with them (Mitchell and Vincent, 2021). This will
further help to develop the living of standard of those people who are in need to develop their
living standards. I have learned about various ways to develop the condition of our society with
the welfare studies in our university. I have learnt that social welfare of societies is done by
communicating well with the people and recognise their needs and wants. On of the most
important lesson which I have learn with this studies is that backward people who are living very
far from technological development and social development are lacking behind to match their
standards with society because of their knowledge and norms and beliefs. Most of the people
have lack of knowledge that how they can develop their life standards well. Hence, one of the
most important thing which I have learnt as an social welfare student is that I and my team is
supposed to aware the human rights to those people who are unaware with it. Here, I have learnt
that solving various social issues will help to develop our whole society. It is essential for me to
learn self aware skill which help me to analyse what kind of issues are facing commonly with
our society. Critical thinking skill will further help me to make those decisions which help to
solve the societal issues in such a way so that it will not occur again in future (Cronin, 2020).
As a student I have analysed the contemporary welfare studies and then I recognised that
the Australian welfare society also contain some pernicious social welfare problems and issues.
As a student I feel that there are causes and consequences of this complex social issues relayed to
the families, communities and individuals. The issues of the welfare studies that I have
recognised as an student are Unemployment, health care disparities, emotional abuse, violence,
teenage pregnancy etc. I have analysed that racism is one of the key issue of the welfare studies
of the Australian welfare system. Because there is huge diversity in the Australia but the welfare
studies are limited to the race (Toros, DiNitto and Tiko,2018). As a student I have examined
these problems very precisely and came to the conclusion that the issues of the social welfare
are highly important to be solved in order to pay value and worth to the studies of the
contemporary social welfare of the Australia. As a student I believe that the Australian welfare

studies and system must pay attention on the teenagers as they are mostly likely group of
individuals facing the issues of the contemporary welfare studies. I also think that the Australian
welfare system should be rethink and re-evaluate for the better changes in order to mitigate the
issues of the welfare and to promote the healthy and fair welfare system. Thus, also in the
teaching institutions that help students in learning about the Australian welfare system must opt
for better learning procedures that address the issues of the welfare and try to improvise the
welfare system for the prosperity of the society (Murphy and et. al., 2020).
