Project
AI Summary
The Wirefire project plan outlines a system designed to analyze Australian weather patterns and predict potential wildfires using big data technologies. The project scope includes detecting current weather conditions and assisting metallurgical departments with wildfire predictions. The project deliverables are scheduled for completion by June 25, 2018, with a total budget of $17,460.00 and a 49-day timeline. The waterfall model is selected for project development. The project team consists of a project manager, system engineer, and data scientist, each with defined roles and responsibilities. The communication plan details how project information will be disseminated to stakeholders. The work plan includes work breakdown structures and milestones. Risk analysis identifies potential risks, such as natural disasters and maintenance issues, along with proposed mitigation strategies like disaster policies and maintenance manuals. The project incorporates relevant literature on project planning and management.

PROJECT PLAN
Background
The Wirefire project is being considered for discussion in this project plan document. The
project involves the analysis of the current weather of Australia and provides insights about the
possible wildfire resulting from the extreme climate of the place. The system would be using the
big data analysis technologies for the deployment of the project.
Project Scope
The scope of the project are:
The system would be able to detect the current weather specifications of the systems.
The system would also be able to provide assistances to the metallurgical department
about the possible wirefires taking place in the region.
The system would also be to perform an efficient analysis of the data that is recorded.
Project Deliverables
The project is scheduled to be delivered by Monday 6/25/18 and for a total budget of
$17,460.00. The project would be installed in the metallurgical department of Australia. The
project would be completed in 49 days.
Project Lifecycle Approach
For the development of the project waterfall model has been selected. This model is an
efficient lifecycle development model. This model is adopted as the budget and schedule of the
project is already defined. Additionally, there would be rare alteration in the project after the
project plan has been developed.

Risk Analysis
Risk Identification
After conducting a thorough analysis, the major risks identified for the system are:
Natural disasters: The system cannot predict any mishaps occurring from the natural disaster or
the man-made accidents. This is out of scope of the system.
Maintenance: There are various type of risks involved with the maintenance of the system. If the
devices in the system are note monitored efficiently then there might possible points in the
system that would be inefficient in performing the activities they are intended to. There would be
inefficiency in both recoding and analyzing data.
Risk Mitigation
For the identified risks the possible mitigation that can be adopted are:
Development of disaster policies: After the implementation of the system, some policies
regarding the natural disasters should be developed which provide assistances and guidance to
the authorities in order to manually handle the system for better results.
