Executive summary
The purpose of this assignment is to highlight the entrepreneurship activities at grassroots
level of Austria and to examine the utility of GEM methodology as an effective tool of
strategic development for improving Government functions. This report has considered
global report of GEM 2016-2017 and GEM country reports to understand its function and
purpose. Austrian entrepreneur Martin Roscheisen was the first one to pursue business by
selling internet channels and to research on energy efficient technology. His contribution is
famous in field of Silicon Valley and he is inspiration of various small and medium
entrepreneurs who have aspiration to launch solar energy in commercial level. The profile is
relevant in a market where customers are becoming more concerned for environment issues.
The report has covered a collective reflective view over such a promising
entrepreneurship profile and his contribution in country’s economy. Further, consulting GEM
technology three measures have been recognised for the chosen business model and
activities. Further, the feasibility of those measures and the reason behind choosing such
measures have been checked for giving them best support. A series of recommendation has
been included for the government in order to help the business for improving operations
within country and in international market as well. Relevant measures have been mentioned
in terms of monitoring countries economic and social progress based on entrepreneur’s
contribution in it. Besides, the governing body has been encouraged with some suggestions to
identify both the short and long term policies to offer the entrepreneur bespoke environment
for conducting business in Austria.

Introduction
This report intends to talk about benefits of GEM methodology in terms of improving the
Government functions of Austria to support business activities of exceptional
entrepreneurship. According to Abbaneo et al. (2013), GEM methodology is an effective tool
and can be used strategically to monitor, develop and support the business organisations in
order to reduce their difficulty while operating on varied business deals. The chosen
entrepreneurship profile is Martin Roscheisen, as described in Roscheisen, M. (2018), who
first started the business of providing internet commercially and has become an inspirational
figure of green businesses. Entrepreneurs has started to follow his path as his focus on energy
efficient technology motivated them. As described in Holmes, Ripple and Manheimer (2013),
his contribution is irreplaceable in field of Silicon Valley and he is continuing to inspire of
various small and medium entrepreneurs who have aspiration to launch and grow with
business model of solar energy and other renewable sources of energy. The given
entrepreneurship profile is relevant and has potential to increase profit in a market where
customers are becoming more concerned for environment issues.
The report will comment on such a promising entrepreneurship profile and his
positive contribution in country’s economy. In addition to that, evaluating GEM technology
three measures will be identified for the chosen business model and activities to provide them
with best guidance. The feasibility of those measures and the reason behind choosing such
measures will be examined too. Recommendation will be given for the government in order
to help the business for improving operations within Austria and globally as well. Necessary
measures will be mentioned in terms of supervising country’s economic and social
development based on Martin Roscheisen’s contribution in business development of the
country. Moreover, the governing body has been encouraged with some suggestions in terms

of recognising both the short and long term policies to offer the entrepreneur a customized
environment for conducting business in Austria seamlessly.
Conclusion
It can be concluded by stating that according to GEM methodology report the
consumers are showing their interest in energy efficient technologies more than the previous
decade. The increasing price of gasoline and accelerating amount of pollution are the reason
of their current preference for green technologies. His work towards the development of
Silicon Valley has been counted one of the most noted contributions. Using GEM
methodology, a closer look on entrepreneurship behaviour has been achieved throughout the
year. Austria’s national economic condition is highly helpful for governing bodies. GEM has
provided data of past 18 years to provide evidence based solutions in order to improve
commercial territory of energy efficient technologies. Motoring will be easier as wide range
of industry related information is available. Analysing and evaluating previously approved
models and policies Government has stated that the entrepreneurship profile is highly
promising and profit oriented based on the shift in customer behaviour. The business profit
will be technically influence Austria’s economy on a large scale positively.
