Autism in Children: Presentation on Research and Therapies

INTRODUCTION
The main aim and purpose of current presentation is to provide valid
information and understanding on the selected topic of autism in child. It
has been observed that the autism is mainly associated with having disorder
in communication and social skills of child that lead negative impact on
their learning and understanding level. Beside this, current presentation
comprises of analysis and comparison of two journals based on the topic of
autism in child.

Brief overview of research topic
The research topic which is selected for current presentation is
autism in child which basically reflects and represent a
communication and social skills disorder which mainly comprises
of symptoms like delayed speech and language skills along with
the issues related with Flat and robotic speaking voice along with
singsong voice and tone of child (Hyman, Levy and Myers, 2020).

Definition of research and its importance in health
care
The definition of research comprises of a systematic firm of investigation
and inquiry in order to gather and collect reliable and sufficient information
for better study and decision making (Wang and et. al., 2019). Research
forms a vital and important role in heath care as it facilities better analysis
of ongoing trends and latest circumstance of society to get better analysis
and evaluation of a health care topic and concept so that effective
precaution and better understanding could be made to support more vital
decision making and effective health care.

Research process/ search strategy
The research process and search strategy for current assignment is
based on selecting and choosing reliable article on the basis of search
of keywords which consist of terms like autism, communication
disorder, effect of autism, etc. Further, after selecting a relevant set
of journal article related with selected topic a reading of compete
study and research is made to ensures critical review and more
effective literature and note taking in the basis of understanding.

Overview of article
The first article that is selected for current investigation was
written by Sigan L. Hartley, Lauren M. Papp, Shari Blumenstock,
Frank Floyd, and Greta L. Goetz1 and based on the topic of The
Effect of Daily Challenges in Children with Autism on Parents’
Couple Problem-Solving Interactions.

The second article was written by the Edwin Williamson and
Rebecca Jerome on the topic of Therapies for Children With
Autism Spectrum Disorder published in the year of 2014. This
article facilitates a better understanding about the theories which
are used to cure and treat child who are suffering from issue of
autism by the way of some music and learning therapy (Petrina
and et. al., 2017).

Data analysis
In the first journal written by Sigan L. Hartley, Lauren M. Papp,
Shari Blumenstock, Frank Floyd, and Greta L. Goetz1 use of
quantitative form of research method is made where data is
collected with the help of a questionnaire and the sample size
comprises of a total of 184 couples (Makrygianni and et al., 2018).

The second article selected that was written by Edwin Williamson and
Rebecca Jerome is basically based on comparative mode of research in
which use of qualitative form of research method is made where data has
been collected from 10 participants (Westerveld and et. al., 2017).
The data of both articles are valid and reliable as proper information about
there authors along with valid copyright and information about research
method and collection of data is provided.

Conclusion
A conclusion can be made on the basis of current presentation that
the Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) basically reflects and
represent a developmental disability and a behavioural disorder
that lead significant impact and cause issues in social interaction,
communication and other behavioural challenges. Further,
importance of research in health care and effective decision
making is also summarized from current presentation.
