Introduction
Today the world is growing day by day due to the growing level of the industries and their
production units. The industrial sector is also growing because of the high amount of the
production according to the demand of the consumers. Due to the largest production of the goods
and services larger storage units are also required to keep the goods and services of the company
much more- safer in order to keep the goods safe the larger warehouses are been required as a
storage unit. The warehouses also needs the particular management system in order to manage
the overall tasks which are to be performed in the warehouses so that the users might able to
effectively and efficiently manage the production units in order to perform the warehouse
management the particular system has been required to manage the stocks as well as the
available inventories in order to perform the effective and efficient management. The warehouse
management systems are the systems which are been usually developed in order to perform the
management of the different stocks produced by the company and are stored in the warehouse in
order to sell the products and services as and when required by the users. The warehouse of the
company has been fully managed by the inventory management system much more effectively
and efficiently.

Q1. Identify and briefly describe the functional and non-functional
requirements for the proposed system.
The different types of the requirement analysis of the particular inventory management system is
given as follows:
The inventory management system in the auto part company is very much necessary because the
company produces the different auto parts of the different cars in order to manage the produced
stock of the auto parts. The auto parts management keeps the record of the different inventories
which are been produced by the company in order to perform the inventory management because
the automobile companies needs the different auto parts for the manufacturing of the
automobiles so the auto parts company might be able to provide the auto parts to the automobile
manufacturing companies which makes them the mediators among the market as well as the
automobile company. The overall inventory management tasks have been managed by the
inventory or warehouse management systems. There are the two different types of the
requirement of the inventory management systems which are functional as well as the non-
functional requirements.
The functional requirements of the auto parts inventory management system is given as follows:
Stock maintenance: The inventory management system usually manages the different
available stocks which has been stored in the warehouses or the storage places. The
company produces the large amount of the products and services for the different car
manufacturing companies in order to store and provide the products and services to the
companies the system to manage the whole stock of the auto parts.
Stock record tracking: the stock records are been tracked by the different users in order to
keep the records of the different available inventories in the warehouses. The inventory
management system keeps the track of overall inventories which are presented in the
stock.
Serial Number allotment: Each of the stocks has been invented in order to produce the
stock further to the different car manufacture companies. The inventory management
system provides the unique identity in the form of the serial number to each and every
available stock in order to perform the track of each and every product.
Auditing: The inventory management system also helps in the auditing of the different
products and services in order to find that each and every stock is safely inserted in the
warehouse or not and also find the records of the sales of the particular products and
services which are been sold to the vehicle manufacturing companies.

Quality management: The inventory management systems manages the quality of the
products in order to describe the type of the product and their storage criteria’s which
may lead to the effective storage of the devices and also provides the details about the
different products in order to maintain the quality of the products and services.
Employee Management: the inventory management systems not only manage the
inventories or stocks but it manages the overall staff which is required in the management
of the products and services by keeping the records of each and every staff member who
is working in the warehouses.
The Non- Functional requirements of the inventory management systems are as follows:
Availability: the system is available to the user without any efforts or not. The system
availability has been marked in terms of how easily the system is available to the
companies who need the system and also in terms of how easily the system can be used
by the different employees.
Performance: The performance is the non- functional requirement of the different users in
order to perform the different tasks much more effectively and efficiently. The
management systems perform according to the requirements of the different users so that
the system might meet the requirements of the user.
Reliability: The system should be much more reliable in order to perform the different
tasks. The users might rely or depend on the system in order to perform the different
tasks much more effectively and efficiently according to the requirements of the users.
Security: This is the much more necessary feature of the inventory management systems
in order to maintain the whole system so that the users might rely on the system and the
system should be as much secure so that the any unauthorized users might not be able to
access the personal or confidential information of the company.
Maintainability: the system should be easily maintainable by the user of the system. The
users might maintain the whole system in order to test the functionality of the system on
the regular basis so the system should be easily maintainable as well as incurs the lowest
maintenance costs of the different users of the system.

might be able to store the goods and services in the warehouses much more effectively and
efficiently. In the research study the different types of diagrams which are used in the designing
as well as stating the different working principles so in order to develop the inventory
management systems. This research study states about the detailed knowledge about the
requirement of the inventory anagement system for the auto parts manufacturing company whivh
