Introduction
The present scenario is all about the auto-parts warehouse management system. In which Jack
and Daniel have shared that there current warehouse management system is now not able to
handle the high dynamic procedures which assist them to transfer the store the inventory at cheap
cost and at the highest efficiency. Thus, now they have decided to develop a new warehouse
management system. Thus, while developing the warehouse management system, the following
thing must be known to the development that what is the problem and why they are developing
this system, what are the capabilities of the developed system and what benefits that system will
provide to Jack and Daniel (Lee & et.al. 2018)). The proper system vision document is going to
be designed, which will define the level and scope of the system along with its purpose. In a
system vision document, the statement related to the problem and solutions to diminish those
risks are defined so that the expectations of the developed system get fulfilled and the risk also
gets reduced.
TASK 1
Problem - The Auto-Parts Warehouse management system is developed because of the
issue arises with the client Jack and Daniel who are having the several years of
experience of running these parts of the business as a supplier in Australia. But the issue
arises when their current warehouse management system is not handling the high bulk
and not storing the goods as the main purpose of the warehouse is of the movement of the
goods, storage of the good and the management of the information. After facing this
problem then they decided to assign the development of a new warehouse management
system to a business system analyst where the functionality of the system can be
implemented throughout all core warehouse processes (Lyon & Furse, (2017)). The users
have given the entire details of the system and their expectation of requirements from the
system. They are expecting that the system must able to perform the basic operation of
warehouse system management such as storing the data, receives all the types of orders,
control the inventory, process and pick up the orders, pack the orders, alert when an error
occurs, generate crystal reports, etc. The users had given the details that the analyst has to

consider the no. of wireless communication devices which construct with the proposed
system and allow the system to run the delivery centre via real-time operations. The
provided details will improve the productivity and profitability of the system and
minimize the cost also.
Capabilities - As this is known that in the previous time, the warehouse management
system could only perform simple tasks and store the located information only. But in
today’s time, the functionality of the warehouse management system has been increased
rapidly. From the basic functionality as a pack, pick, and ship functionality to
sophisticated programs. In the case of Jack and Daniel designed system, that warehouse
management system is going to reduce the occurrence of errors which arises when the
product is getting shipped. The developed system will also help the client to fulfill their
orders more quickly and instantly track the ordered products in the warehouse
(Warehouse management system, (1998-2019)). The goals to designed this system are
that the system must perform the basic operations like receiving the orders, store the
products, etc. The system will achieve the paperless environment which guides the
workers directly on the shipping of the products. Warehouse management system stores
the product and performs all the basic operations. Along with this, the developed system
will make inventory management faster and easier. This system will generate accurate
feedback and this will help the client to respond faster to the expectations of the
customers. This system will reduce the cost of labor, improve the flexibility, accuracy
and customer services. This will decrease the number of errors in the shipping of the
goods. Thus, this developed system is going to fulfill all the expectations of t Jack and
Daniel.
Benefits - The benefits which Jack and Daniel will go to have from the designed
warehouse management system are stated as below -
1. Efficient Inventory Counts - The system will going to have the benefit of
completing the inventory counts by the barcode scanner to scan a location and all
the products within that location (Warehouse Management System Software
Benefits, 2019). This will arrange all the products in such a manner that the
products can be reviewed, accepted and rejected before the updation of the core
inventory stages.

2. Reduced the mispicks - By the scanning of the barcode to ship, pick and pack the
goods will reduce the risk of mispicks which arises in the business and the
workers will also not have to enter manually by hands the barcode numbers.
Along with this, when any of the mistakes are done wrong by the staff members
or they do wrong scan then the system will automatically correct it and shipped
that order to the customer.
3. Quick process of Return the product - This is known that it takes about the
efforts of 10 employees to complete the process of return the product in which
there is no revenue so in that case, this system will help the staff members to
complete the process of return product by scanning the product.
4. Faster Product delivery - In today’s time, each customer is waiting for your
ordered product and expected to get it earlier or soon before the delivery date
(Key Benefits of Implementing a Warehouse Management System, 2019). Thus to
provide the customers quick and faster delivery services the warehouse
management system is going to be used by the Jack and Daniel so that they can
gain the satisfaction of customers.
Conclusion
From the above-mentioned report, this has been concluded that the report has developed the
system vision document of the warehouse management system, which is developed for the client
who is facing the problem. The problem which is faced is described in the above report along
with its capabilities and benefits which will gain by the users after using it. Thus his developed
product will help the client a lot.
