INTRODUCTION
Automation is the new process which involve the creation and innovative use of
technology to develop the goods and services with the minimal use of human intervention in the
companies. As these technology and innovation will provide the good and improving techniques
with the efficiency, reliability and increase the speed of many tasks which were previously
managed by the humans (Last, 2017). But these technologies and innovation are used and
managed by the humans. In this debate report I am highlighting the topic of automation will
result in fewer job for humans and I am presenting against of this topic. This report provide me
the individual learning outcomes, collecting the valid, relevant and authorized information which
support my debate topic.
MAIN BODY
Debate is different from any other academic assessment, which has requiring the unique
skills. A debater must prepared their own research and skills which are helpful for debating on
the particular topic. The aim of the topic is to make a deep evaluation on is actually automation
reduce the human jobs or not.
Automation is the process which elaborate the process of the completing the human task
with more efficiency and feasibility. As It is true that people have facing the issues and
challenges in order to loosing their jobs. But this point and issue can be recover by providing the
proper training related to the new technology and software. Also the union said that technologies
is used for the help of people not to free the people from monotonous task or to reduce the work
hours but the technologies are used to monitor and control the technologies. This can increase
the productivity of the employees in the different companies.
Most of the author said that the automation create the risk of inequality (Stack, 2016).
And I know it is somehow true but this is not actually inequality, it is depend on the employee
ability, skilled and knowledge gives the more benefit to those employee rather than other
employee who are not adopting the new and innovative automation techniques.
At the same time there are various labour intensive companies which are preferred to
work for the human and not to capital intensive. Most of the manufacturing companies like food,
shoes, textile and gems and jewellery are the industry where the automation is not used more. As
they are the labour intensive techniques.

There are various positive impact of the automation in reference to the job opportunity in the
market;
ï‚· As the automation provide the goods and services at the lower the cost in the company
with less raw material and less hard work. This will impact on the lower the price of the
products and by this cost keep the inflation under control and in result gives the more
saving of the individual and for the companies (Steger and James, 2019). And this
positive impact and cost saving increased the saving of the companies and it will create
the more job opportunities and more job creation.
ï‚· Automation raises the efficiency and productivity of the company and there employees.
This principle is applied to the private, pubic and non-profit undertaking business sectors.
And this gives the more profitability and reduce the burden of the employee so it increase
the quantitative infrastructure. If the socio- infrastructure is good and attractive so it will
create the more job opportunities in the market.
ï‚· In the process of the automation, the cost of the companies reduce and revenue increase
which means company can use more funds for the companies research and adopting
technologies, and for this the company must needed more employees so it increase the
job opportunity in the market.
ï‚· Automation help in reducing the corruption and bureaucratic discretion. Reduction in the
corruption will lead to improvement of the condition of the business which again lead to
the more saving and more investment. This again increase employment opportunity in the
market.
Despite of these advantage of the automation I know there are various disadvantage also,
as every aspect have two different sides. As my opposition said automation is the process of lay
offs the human resource. It has the fear to loose the job if a person doesn't acquired the skills and
knowledge which is required (Chan and Milne, 2019). Or even the employee is not adjusted with
the major change happened in the company. Another criticism is automation lead to the
emergence of the new job opportunity in the market, for example micro work. And these type of
jobs are arises in the market due to on demand economy, as these jobs are freelancing in nature
and lack of benefits such as health and insurance etc. these are some criticism are the points
which must be notice in and considered but this criticism can be improved by providing various

techniques and training to the existing employees and provide them the proper demonstration of
the new automation techniques.
These disadvantage can be overcome with the use of opportunities and minimize the
adverse impact of the automation. These opportunities are:
ï‚· Skill up-graduation: There are the various programme, training and internship are
provided by the company or the government. Which will help the employee or the new
employee to work more effectively and productivity (Grosse, 2016). These programme
help the fresher as well to those person who lost their jobs due to automation.
ï‚· Flexible labour laws: apart from skills knowledge, the labour laws must be improved for
the workers so that they can change and manage their job according to their need and
smoothly transfer from one job to another. Adequate support system is used by the social
support team either they are working or not.'
ï‚· More focus on MSME's: More labour intensive industry are developed in the market, as
these industry are focused on the human resource rather than more techniques and
innovation. And if they done the innovation this change can't the driver of the
employment.
ï‚· Employees protection: It is suggested by the world bank that there must be the employee
protection contracts by the companies. These contracts provide the support and relief to
the employees that there jobs are fixed and they have no fear to loose there jobs.
Long run Implementation in technologies:
These technologies and up gradation will impact for the long run and I can understand
that somehow these automation will impact on the people as they are loosing their job and faces
challenge in that. But it can't be unconsidered that at the same time these automation technique
may open up with the new policies and opportunities to increase the employability in the market
and work with full of efficiency with less hard work and more smart work (Colombo, and et.al.,
2016). Most of the research are evaluate that automation is gives the positive impact in the
technologies and innovative industry and those industry which has main focus is labour intensive
give the minimal impact on the company.
Robotic process automation:
In the terms of automation, robotic process automation is the most widely used
technology and this also known as the white collar automation. These techniques are inexpensive

and easy to use. And on the same side robotic process automation help to increase the
employment opportunities and create the task of the human resource work. As these technologies
are made by the human and also these technologies are used, managed and controlled by the
human. These robots also decrease the expense of the company which are they going to spend in
IT sectors.
As robotic automation is used in mostly place and company in replace of the human
resource as these automation work in place of human (Bernal, 2016). But at the same time they
are helpful for the workers to increase their productivity and improve their knowledge and skills.
These robotic automation is used by the large sectors company to reduce the cost of expenses
and they employee the new aged workers who have skills and ability to manage and controlled
these automation module.
Labour Reinstating technologies:
further I wanted to added that most of the companies are using the labour replacing
techniques for using automation techniques. But at the same time most of the companies use the
labour reinstating technologies, which means using the human resource capital for the
maintaining the technologies. As these technologies ere evaluate the new task and skills for
example widespread technologies of computers are increase the demand of the high speed typists
and secretary who have the skills to operate and manage the work of computers. Same as the new
task and projects associated with the companies meant to the new opportunities, including
computer operators, software developers and IT consultant are the recent jobs which are trending
in the market.
Promote pro-human technology:
These technologies are used to encourage the development of the technologies which are
more likely to pay more wages and more jobs employment opportunities (Kasemsap, 2016).
Some of the labour intensive potential which face the challenge of technology factors in the
market these are explained below:
Tax: By revising the tax code to minimize the subsidies which are directed towards the
capital intensive to labour. This would help the labour as the companies are bounded to use the
labour as compare to capital.
Document Page
Training: By investing more in the training can help the labour to reduce the risk of
loosing their job in the future due to automation . Here the workers may be prepared by the
companies to work in the nature of the automation technology and artificial intelligence.
Insurance: By investing more in the labour and wages employment insurance, provide the
support to those workers whom lose their job and also support their wages laws as this help in
maintaining the level of dignity and meaning of the workers (Akhter, 2019).
In last it is said that the automation will impact on the employment of the industry, but
there affect on different market and different industry had totally different. It can affect in the
positive and negative way, but I am opposed to that fact which say that automation reduce the
jobs of human resource.
CONCLUSION
From the above debate report it is said that the automation is the important for the market
as these technology include the major changes in the company and in the market the innovation
and technologies are needed to expand the markets share. As these automation technologies are
the pre-condition to sustain the high growth level in the market. And also it is quite natural to
increase the anxiety in the employee to loose their jobs. But this is not means that we can
critically evaluate the automation industry and spread the unawareness about the current trends.
In the last, I can only say that upgraded skills, knowledge and training will help the employees to
maintain their job in the company.
