Survey and Questionnaire
AI Summary
This assignment presents a change management survey designed to assess the readiness of individuals for changes in the automotive industry related to CO2 emission reduction. The survey explores public awareness and acceptance of new technologies like hybrid vehicles, biofuels, and eco-driving practices. It investigates whether people are willing to pay extra for environmentally friendly options and examines the potential impact of environmental taxes on consumer behavior. The survey aims to identify hurdles and opportunities for successful implementation of changes by understanding customer perceptions and attitudes towards ecological and environmental benefits. The collected data can be used to develop strategies for smooth and successful change implementation in the automotive sector, promoting the adoption of sustainable practices and technologies to mitigate the greenhouse effect.

Change Management Survey
Anthropogenic greenhouse gases, mainly CO2 is the main cause of greenhouse effect. To control the
global warming the CO2 emission, need to be controlled. For automotive industry there are two major
challenges i.e. Fuel saving and reduction of emission of CO2. (Payne, 2005) To make these changes
additional cost need to be in the acceptable limit while increasing the efficiency of vehicles.
Strongly Agree Neutral Disagree Strongly Don’t
Agree Disagree Know
1. CO2 levels in atmosphere and
greenhouse effect is interrelated
2. Automotive industry is one of the
major source of increased CO2 emission
3. This problem should be handled at
individual level for the betterment
of future environmental conditions
4. Some basic precautionary measures
should be incorporated in day to day
life to control this situation on an
individual level (Kumar, 2016)
5. Can development of new technologies
like hybrid vehicle be beneficial for the
problem
6. If Biofuel, Fuel cells and electric type of
hybrid vehicles made available at the
convenient price, can these options
be preferred over the old automotive
technologies
7. Would you consider paying a little extra
amount for hybrid technology in your
next vehicle (McFarland, 2015)
8. Can educating people regarding the hybrid
driving lead to more awareness and involvement
of people for ecological and environmental
benefits? (Morris, 2012)

9. If the CO2 emission taxes which might
include the environment tax, petroleum
tax, motor vehicle tax made part of the
legislature in near future be beneficial to
make people opt for newer and more
environment friendly options in automotive
industry
10. Can eco-driving be any helpful for controlling
CO2 emission
Implementing change is a complex process that depends on various factors. To tackle the resistance
that usually follows any change, behavioral dynamics and psychological awareness of the customers
must be understood and raised on various levels. The level of awareness that currently exist in
people regarding the environmental threats (caused by increased emission of anthropogenic
greenhouse gasses mainly consisting of carbon dioxide) must be understood to succeed in
implementing the desired changes. The above survey will help to understand the hurdles in various
fields and how these can be overcome with better acceptance levels. This includes understanding
how the changes in the automotive industry can help to control the current threat to the
environment (Kogila, 2016). Knowing the acceptance level of consumers for changes in automotive
field being made to control CO2 emission, their thoughts regarding the best ways to tackle current
situation, whether they are ready to spend some extra money to opt for the new technologies like
hybrid technology (the awareness level of customers about the hybrid technologies which include
vehicles working on two or more different types of power), will customers be ready to switch to this
new technology if made feasible economically (Euchner, 2013). Can imposition of law in the form of
various taxes like environmental tax, petroleum tax, motor vehicle tax, carbon tax lead to the positive
impact and help for better acceptance of these new options in automotive industry. To know the
awareness of customers regarding eco-driving and its benefits including decreased fuel consumption
along with minimal emission of carbon dioxide. Do people need more awareness regarding the
changing technologies. Can increasing awareness regarding various options lead to increase in
acceptance level of customers for these new technologies. Once above data is collected it can be
used to make strategies and planning to make implementation of changes smooth and successful.
