INTRODUCTION
Evidence based practices (EBP) is process that used for reviewing, translate & analyse
the evidence which are based on latest scientific also main goal is related to focus on incorporate
the best available research along with clinical experience and patient preferences into clinical
practice. So nurses can inform regarding patient care decision. Some component of EBP are
overall care of patient, leading research, clinical expertise. In healthcare this is necessary to work
on judicious uses of current best evidence in the conjunction with clinical expertise. Then patient
value is used for guide health care decisions.
The present report is based on the awareness of the effect of domestic violence on
Nigerian women living in barking, also conducting literature review on the basis of chosen topic
for research on the basis of “To investigate awareness of the impacts of domestic violence on
Nigerian women living in Barking,”. Further, report examine the value of literature review on the
basis of project management plan and project proposal on the basis of evaluating the process
which can be impact on practice and learning.
Lastly, use the reflection account that can help for evaluating own journey in order to contribute
to innovation and improvement in evidence based health, care and support practice and service
delivery.

LO1 Role of research for EBP in health and social care
Evidence based practice is referring to the term that involving the best available evidence
on the basis of clinical knowledge and expertise in order to consider the patient’s unique needs
and personal preferences. In health care it has been analysed that health care providers who use
EBP must be skilled at discerning the value of research for specific patient population (Bianchi,
Aleo and Sasso, 2018). Research played important role because EBP because fundamental
difference lies in their purpose also conducting research help to generate new knowledge and
validate existing knowledge that based on theory.
On the other hand, evidence based practice is help for getting the best practice which
informed patient care decision. The impact of research is intended by effecting the standardise
for healthcare practice that is based scientific study and best evidence which help to reduce
wrong practices in care that is help to reduce undesired health outcomes. Also, development of

evidence based practice allow to improve the healthcare practices to provide better accountability
within healthcare services and related outcomes (Bianchi, M., Bagnasco and Sasso, 2018).
P1: Purpose and process of conducting evidence based research
The purpose of conducting research in evidence based practice is to implement correct
and improved way of health and social care practices that can be effective and may help in
getting better positive response towards the quality improvement in service delivery. It can help
in developing knowledge or validating existing knowledge that help for translating the evidence
and applying on the basis of health care and decision-making.
The process of conducting evidence based research is related to the Assess, ask, acquire,
apply and evaluate. In context to first step that is related to assess the patient by starting clinical
problem or any question that any arise from the care of patient (Kaplan, Cromley and
Balsai,2020). Ask, to focused on clinical question that help to construct a well-built question that
derived from the case. To acquire evidence of question in order to select appropriate resources
that are useful for conducting research. Then appraise the quality of evidence which is related to
evidence for answering the question also help to appraise that evidence for validity and
applicability. In order to apply the evidence to patience care it is related to return to patient
integrity on the basis of evidence on the basis of clinical expertise of patient preferences that are
necessary for applying into practice. The last step of the process is related to evaluation which is
regarding patient's outcome and own performance of individual.
P2: Analyse current skills and knowledge in being able to conduct a literature review
In order to analyses the current skills along with knowledge which helps to being able in
literature review within health care towards EBP. In context to literature review in evidence
based practice are designed for evaluating and synthesize the finding and quality of studies. The
skills require for literature review is related to the ability of search and access publication on the
research topic. The current skill and knowledge is related to the getting the deep understandings
of topic also it is necessary to research on authentic sources which provide better outcomes
through implementing EBP.
Skills along with qualities that needed to conduct within literature review
In health and social care, it necessary to uses the skill of authentic sources of evidence
based practice which is necessary for conducting literature review that show the sign of synthesis
and understanding of topic (Camargo, drade and Masso, 2018). In health and social care, it is

maximizing relevance, generalizability, originality and impact. Also, in context to literature
review it helps to provide the skills which is related to inform methodology, avoid duplicate
research, maximize innovation that help to ensure about professional standards are met.
Skills and qualities needed to conduct an ethical research
There are some skills and qualities are necessary for conduct research on the basis of
ethical issue by identifying the positive influence practice and provision in health, care and
support services such skill and qualities are related to good knowledge of literature & research.
For an individual it is necessary to treat people as autonomous by make own decision. Also,
researcher must respect the individual that makes their own informed decision whether
individual participates in research. Also, by maximizing the benefits of participant the purpose of

INTRODUCTION OF THE RESEARCH
The research is intended to present a picture of “The awareness of the effect of domestic
violence on Nigerian women living in barking”. Nigeria is the nation with quite poor economic
and living standard. Such circumstances are ideal for women harassment. With this regard, the
report would be presenting deeper insights on awareness of the effect on domestic violence on
the women of Nigeria. The proposal has to present key dimensions of the research such as types,

Theme:1 Causes leading to domestic violence
The article has been written by Slindile Ngcece and Londeka Ngubane, (2021). The title
was “A comparative analysis on the nature and extent of domestic violence in rural and urban
areas”. They used literature based methodology since the report was aimed to drill qualitative
approach in attempt to drive the final outcomes. This method is highly affluent due to
exploration it extends.
Compare: Form the viewpoints of Malathesh, Das, and Chatterjee, (2020) there are range
of causes which are behind domestic violence, but some key causes are Low self-esteem,
consumption of alcohol and drug, anger and hostility nature, lack of social skills to sort out
problems, delinquent behaviour of people etc. As it has been revealed by ONS (Office of
National Statistics) that around 7.9% of women in the nation are suffering from domestic
violence. So the ideas shared by the authors are sharing kind of common notions.

appropriate keeping the research aim into focus. At the same time, would be helpful for the
society to drive strong suggestions. The researchers are suggested to widen the area of study.

society. Women are being persecuted in many ways. Domestic violence is the worst form where
a woman gets abused in her domestic ambiance. This violence may be Physical violence, Sexual

experience. Over the time, it is seen that in many nations the same parameters are being followed
due to some rigours needs. So agreeing with these recommendations would help to reduce the
prevailing issues and perhaps help to ensure betterment.

valance is highly regressive. There are multiple forms are prevailing in the society. Still there is
need to make sure better policies and practises to counter them. Also, some key forms and types
of such domestic violence were also scrutinized. At the end, for betterment some suggestions
were extended.

Interpretation: From the above graph it has been analysed that 15%s of respondent are think
that it is impacted by low worth, then another 15% are think that there is any other cause, 10% of
people are think that there were cause of lack of attention of society. Then 20% are said that poor
regimes of government and then another 40% are related to lack of education in such women.
There is different type of course that leading to domestic violence such as if women have low
worth and not able to earn money at time men and other family member are impacted bad. All
the cause is different in order to focus on developing the cause of violence so that women are
feel safe at their home.
Theme:2 What types of domestic violence are the most horrendous for women?
Interpretation: From the above graph it has been analyzed that there are different types of
domestic violence are faced by women. On the basis of survey, it has been analyzed that there
are 25% of respondent are think that due to physical abuse women get horrendous. Then 35% of
women are suffered from emotional abuses by understanding their family terms and due to this
people abuse them regarding their background. Then 15% of respondent areas think that this is
because of sexual abuse in which women are suffered by their husband. Also, 10% of women are
bullying by their close ones in context to discrimination and other causes. Lastly, there are 15%
of women are suffered by any other type of violence.

society, specifically when it comes to Nigerian women in Barking?
Interpretation- From the above graph it has been analysed that there is domestic violence is
occurred by Nigerian women on the basis of different aspects. There are 50% of respondents are
suffered by incidents of depression and anxiety. Also, 15% of them are resulted by suicide cases
faced by Nigerian women. Then this is related to not getting enough attention to women and due
to regularity of domestic violence women committed suicide which is impacted bad on their
children and other family members. Also, 25% of women are affected by social disruption
because society not accept them to work and live their life independently. Lastly, 10% of
respondent are suffered from other effect.
Theme:4 what could be some appropriate strategies that aid in minimization of the impacts of
domestic violence?
Interpretation- From the above graph it has been analysed that there are 40% of respondent
are think that in order to introduction of strong legislation should be followed by nation in order

to minimize the challenges. 20% of respondent are think that in order to awaken of society might
be work for minimization of domestic violence on women. Then it can be impacted many
women of society by followed different types of strategies as well as 30% of respondent are
think that they are suffering from different problem so it is necessary to promote women
education.

attention is paid to the evidence and all the outcomes are driven using evidence. It would
be fair to say that such studies are highly authentic in nature.
 Evidence based practises also leads to generation of kind of new knowledge. Because the

domestic violence on the women of Nigeria living in barking. Over the time, it is found that this
region is facing come issues in term of women empowerment so this study would help in
