Amazon web service is a combination of company and technology. They provide various
online services for hosting and developing services and products. For this a unique concept is
introduced known as “cloud computing”. Through which users are able to create server, manage
large data (Hashem and et. al., 2015). Various other effective technologies are also provided,
such as web, mobile and iPhone applications can be developed. AWS is a platform provided by
Amazon. That are offering different approaches like computer, networking, mobile and
management tools. Various services are also provided for online community. Through which
user can easily host website, develop, manage data and store them by using cloud database. With
this platform user is free to implement technologies, configure them according to need. Along
with this various safety measures are also implemented. Transaction and processing become easy
and faster. Cloud computing are equipped with various techniques such as Java, windows & Net,
PHP, python and Ruby.
Operational excellency of AWS.
Amazon leverage achieving operational excellence due to expert and massive data
centres. Through this bulk of data can be handled easily. In order to provide effective services
strong supply chain is managed by company. According to the report of Time Magazine,
Amazon is funding 50 billion at US in 2012 (Rittinghouse and Ransome, 2016). In this process
suppliers and partners are integrated in order to provide services. Various models are available
such as SaaS, IaaS and PaaS. SaaS is dedicated for handling software issues. In order to
implement operation on demand of client (Supply chain. 2017). Software as a Service (SaaS)
model is implemented to provide facilities. The system of cloud computing can be configured
according to the requirement of individual. In order to achieve excellency various brokers and
third party are involved. This third-party logical service provider (3PLs) are hired in order to
bring down delivering time and effectively reduce billing and costing overhead.
Other companies providing similar model.
Various companies are providing services for the same model. Such as Google, Enomaly,
Go-Grid, Microsoft, Net-suite, Rack-space and Richtsacle. They are providing services across
the world (Fernando, Loke and Rahayu, 2013). They all are providing excellent web properties
to their customers. According to the services provided by various companies, clients are able to

manage large amount of data effectively. Amazon have competitive advantages in the form of
expert and massive data centres which can handle any kind load. Enomaly is providing services
like Elastic Computing Platform (ECP). It is an integrated software tool that is widely used for
commercial use. Google is providing servicing for advertising such as e-mail, Google app
engine. Along with this various web security services are provided with products. Go-Grid
provides services based on Linux operating system (Arora, Parashar and Transforming, 2013).
Various other software is also provided like Apache, PHP, Microsoft and SQL. Net-suite
provides accounting and CRM orients services that are mainly considered for business purposes.
Rack-space is equipped with advance web site developing files and storage system.
