INTRODUCTION
The report will be presenting an essay which would consist specialized pathway here
it is hospitality management, and other dimensions like what skills would have developed,
experience of the foundation year, challenges subjects place before, specific research with
respect to the area of specialization and the outcomes. Then on the basis of research
evaluation will also be carried out (Law, 2019) How by using reflective theory can go for
improvement on the work would be seen. And at the end of the report a brief description is
shared addressing all the needed topics.
BA PATHWAY
I have chosen Hospitality management as specialist BA pathway. With the progress
of time hospitality industry is growing with a great rate. In this industry there is a great
opportunity for new entrepreneurs to look up their career pathway in hospitality
management. In hospitality a range of services like lodging, food and drink services, parks,
event management, tours and travels, bars etc (Bavik, 2019.)
The chief reason behind choosing hospitality management as a specialist pathway is
the scope of opportunities this profession offers to such new people. Across the world
hospitality industry is growing faster than any other industry. Along with it my personal
skills and interest is also inclined to do something in this field.
DEVELOPED SKILLS-
In the foundation year I have developed a wide set of skills which would be helping
me in hiking my role and abilities in the chosen pathway. For growing in the field of
hospitality management I have enhanced my capabilities with skills like communication,
resilience, initiative taking, adaptability etc. so can perform on my merits it would be
helping to perceive more about the taken pathway.

I have also learned and improved skills like performing multitasking and attention
to deal with various so called circumstances in the industry which will be helping to
negotiate better with the possible jeopardies (Van der Wagen and White, 2018)
EXPERIENCE OF THE FOUNDATION YEAR-
It has been a wonderful year of studying on the foundation, which helped me
understand the course or the area more intensively, where I have learnt many of such
things which would be helping ahead while performing on the ground. In the foundation I
have learnt basics of the in dusty.
The course taught about talent management, applied research, basic principles of
the industry, what are the possible perils and how they may place bigger challenges etc.
were studied. My experience is rigorous since it made me understand prime picture of the
area I chosen.
CHALLENGES OF THE SUBJECTS-
I have studied many subjects and all of them taught me a lot and I enjoyed yet there
have been a few challenges I found in the subjects of foundation year. I personally felt
understanding Human Resource management had been a tough nut to crack for me. Along
the side financial information system has placed tough technical knowledge before me.
Other subjects like “Sectoral studies (Deale and Lee, 2021) was also a dynamic
subject which was very complicated due to fluctuations of the market yet it has been the
most adorable subject I like it since it made my understanding clear about hospitality
management.
RESEARCH AND OUTCOMES-

I have been given a project of doing research on a set of people about their
preferences on hospitality organizations. The outcomes were as expected majority of them
suggested they prefer such hospitality service provider who can extend them values or
sense of superiority.
I felt good experiencing it first hands. I found that having good communication has
been one of the best strength but lack of proper or well articulated plan for the project
caused problems a bit. The success of the most influential aspects of the work was
conclusions I reached
,which reflects that with certain skills a huge number of customers may get attracted.
EVALUATION-
I have used different approaches to understand the view points and those aspects of
people which is driving them to choose the hospitality services, approaches like “Increasing
customer value” play big role and approach like “Cheaper prices” (Setiawan, 2020) are not
working now.
The most positive thing in the research was that it enabled me to understand the
modern market trends in the industry and negative part was over fluctuating market
conditions. The character of adaptability I personally found went well and at the same time
over dependence on the use of conventional tools in the project did not go so well.
THEORY OF REFLECTION-
While performing my task I kept using Reflective theory or practice which helped
me to evaluate me performance and tracing the scopes where I could go for further
improvement. By using reflective approach I have addressed the areas where I was legging
behind.

It helped me in enhancement of my capacity with regard to the area of my
specialized pathway which is hospitality management. It paved way for higher
performance, since while going through the work I personally found a few areas and used
On Action improvement plan that aids to trace the areas and as per suitability I have
inculcated something in my work (Pan and Zhong, 2022)
DESCRIPTION-
The main idea behind doing was to expand knowledge in hospitality management
and enhancing my capacity with the area of my interest. I have carried out the project to
know more about the people who want to experience such services, what are those
motivating factors behind.
This is directly related with my subject area. The subject “Sectoral studies (Guo
and Ayoun, 2021) in which I have studied about the market and the factors which impacts
this industry. This project helped me to perceive it intensively with first hands experience.
This is strongly related to the subject and also made the knowledge of subject more
receptive to me.
CONCLUSION
From the report above it can be concluded that hospitality management is one of the
most dynamic industry. The report had discussed developed skills which helped in
understanding the subject more intensively. Experience of the foundation year along with
the areas found complicated in the subjects had been articulated. Then with this regard the
conducted research is presented with outcomes and was also evaluated too. Then how
reflective theory have helped to improve the performance has been depicted at the end of
the report a brief description was giving all relevant subject.
