Why I chose this topic:
Ban the box is a campaign that is used for the
civil rights of an individual. The main purpose
of this is to change the hiring process the
organization.
The employer should not ask about any
criminal record of the candidate who appear
for the interview.
To examine its effect over the culture and
values of the country.
To present the benefits of this campaign for
the people.

 Introduction

Ban the box movement was started in 2004 by the people
of the country so that human rights can be ensured. The
main aim of this is to remove all the questions that are
asked by the employer in the interview process. This also
stated that criminal cases should be checked in a fair
manner so that it will not affect the morale of the people.

Main Body 1 – PROBLEM:
 PROBLEM : There are some problems that are associated with

 WHO/WHAT DOES IT AFFECT : This campaign affect the
business organization and their work culture.
 CAUSES : Companies will not be able to identify the criminal
record of the candidates.
 WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED : If this
problem will not solved than companies will not be able to
improve their growth and efficiency

Main Body 2 – SOLUTION A:

 Problem the solution addresses: Through this campaign people
got an opportunity with the criminal background.
 Solution: Companies can check the background of the
candidates on their own or by checking their government
records.
 Evaluation of the solution: After this process, they will be able to
ensure the smooth functioning of their recruitment process.
 Finishing sentence : Through this solutions the limitation of the
campaign can be removed.

 Problem the solution addresses: Another problem that is faced
by the company is related to the employees who are lack in
skills and knowledge.
 Solution: The manager of the firm can conduct training and
development programs.
 Evaluation of the solution: Through this, people of the firm will
be able enhance their core competencies.
 Finishing sentence : The business organization will be able to
get the skilled workers who will provide quality services to their
customers.

 Problem the solution addresses: The another problems can be
related to the competitiveness of the firm in the market.
 Solution: In order to sustain the competitive advantage the
enterprise can use some of the strategies such as cost
leadership and differentiation.
 Evaluation of the solution: Through the firm will be able to
perform better than their competitors.
 Finishing sentence : An enterprise will be able to improve their
brand image than their rival firm.

Conclusion
 Explanation of how I convince reader of thesis
statement (which was in my intro) : Ban the box
is a campaign that is used to protect the rights of
the individuals. By solving all the issues they can
remove all the limitations that are faced by the
organization.
