person under culture as well as social life.
In the proposed investigation on impact of motivation on performance of banking
employees positivism philosophy would be utilized. By this type of research we can foramt own
views and opinion regarding to the evaluation of social world. Through this we can gathered data

from the selected sample. We can evaluate the facts and figures from the available data so that
positive philosophy is more appropriate for the present investigation data.
Research approach
The research approach includes all the steps are systematically designed in order to
carried out to get appropriate information regarding to the topic. There are two types of
approach deductive and inductive(Harris and et.al., 2009). At the initial level statements are
derived from the whole investigation on the research topic which provides the conclusion on that
study. The major aim to get conclusion in the form of Yes or No from the questions. The
deduction type research approach procedure are to identify the questions from the investigation
theory for data gathering and identifying the valid and relevant questions are included in the
research and rejection of invalid data. In the inductive type research approach where formulating
the general ideas and theories which are relevant to the topic.
Through the present thesis which assess the determinants and factors of motivation
effects the bank employee performance in this inductive approach is being utilized. Due to this
type of approach investigator is able to creation of empirical generalization. This results in
determining the major association as the research is being conducted. Further it is comprised of
search patterns through observation that results in developing explanation. Through gaining
knowledge regarding the opinions of employees in relation to motivation the research possess the
ability to make determination of the success of the organization (Onwuegbuzie and Leech,
2005). Moreover with this problem with respect to employee motivation is being assessed with
greater effectiveness. Through observation of the issues as well as importance of motivation in
enhancing performance broader generalization is being drawn.
Research design
Research design plays an significant role in the whole investigation which helps in to
provide better outcomes. It considered as research strategy which is utilized as integrating all the
various components of research in logical way to get data in quantitative form which helps in to
provide better conclusion analysis. It also helps in to identify issues effectively and find out
proper solution (Mackenzie and Knipe, 2006). Research design is the planning and blue print of
all the activities in order to gather data, analyzing as well as measuring the available information.
There are various type of research design methods like Exploratory, Descriptive, Analytical and

Futuristic. The explanatory research design is most suitable and widely used method which
shows cause and effect relationship. Such design has objective towards making investigation of
variables that results in causing such behavior. Exploratory research design explore the hidden
things in an investigation which helps in making hypothesis through the well examine of set of
data. Descriptive research design defines the characteristics and facts of the available
information there are questions and answers in the form of who, where, how, what and when
which are attached with particular issue in the research. This is regarded as the statistical
investigation. Such design of investigation is accurate to a greater extent.
In the present thesis on banking employee motivation descriptive research design is being
used. This used for the purpose of describing the features of the population or phenomenon
which have been studied (Baskerville and Wood-Harper, 2016). Therefore such is best suitable
in order to make assessment of the impact of motivation on the performance of banking
employees. Descriptive research possess less need in order to attain the internal validity.
Research method
It plays significant role in investigation where all the information are gathered carried out
through various steps which gives effective results. In research we can apply qualitative and
quantitative methods. Qualitative research is applicable where in depth study on the investigation
subject matter. It provides relevant answers to a questions after the analysis of the research study.
The outcome of this research is descriptive in nature(Noor, 2008). In contrast to this quantitative
research is a statistical and mathematical tool to measure the counting results. This type of
research to be used in Survey for collecting primary data by the respondents. The present thesis
based on the impact of motivation on banking employee performance at workplace where
qualitative tool is being used to measure the changes.
Data collection method
Data collection method is referred to as the significant part in each research. Such
demonstrates that suitable tool is being utilized by the investigator so as to collect the
information in order to achieve aim and objective of the investigation topic. There are two types
of methods are present which are used for the purpose of collection of data in order to get

proposed investigation on impact of motivation on the performance of the banking employees

primary as well as secondary methods are being used for the sake of collecting the information.
Primary method involves gathering of the data for the first time. With this new data is collected
by the investigator on own when conducting the research. The data are gathered by the
investigator of research with greater efficiency. Primary data collection methods are
questionnaire, interviews, focus groups, interviews and surveys. Such act as an aid in attaining
detained opinions of the respondents. In the proposed investigation exploration of the concept of
employee motivation is being done. For the purpose of gathering data by means of primary tool
questionnaire is mailed to senior manager after receiving by respondents Barclays. Primary data
collection method are effective tool to reduce the geographical barrier which helps the
respondents in filling questionnaire from anywhere.
Another tool that assist in collection of data is secondary data collection method. In this
method data already collected by someone else it used for further study and investigation
purpose. Data are collected from various sources like journals, newspaper and literature review.
It is considered as the second hand tool (Odom and et.al., 2005). The present thesis is on impact
of motivation on performance of banking employees makes utilization of the information gained
through secondary sources. In this we can use publish articles and books of researcher for further
study. Secondary data can also be collected from online, blogs, censuses as well as government
reports etc.
Sampling
Sampling is the selection of samples from the available data in order to describes
approximate characteristics of all over population. The smaller selection can be defined as the
sample. In the present thesis on employee motivation the technique of sampling the is being
utilized is referred to as probability. When conducting the research investors faces difficulty in
selection of data from whole population. There are various sample selection techniques which
helps in for sample selection (Johnson, Onwuegbuzie and Turner, 2007). This tool of sampling
of population is suitable for the investigation. This is due to the reason that it offers similar
opportunity to all the senior managers who are carrying out performance within the firm. This is
because personnel are the part of the research. In probability sampling method all have equal
opportunity to get selection in the sample for investigation purpose. Another important tool is to
identify the sample size which shows the approximate result of whole population. It is defined as
