INTRODUCTION
This report is an analysis of how the organization work under different work climate and how
the internal and external factors affect the organization in different ways. Further, the report
will inter-relate the organization with its functions operating in different departments. This
report has carried out different analysis like SWOT and PEST analysis to check the positive and
negative effects of the macro environment. The report will give us information about Barclay’s
strengths and weaknesses and how the organization should manage to be in the market.
The Barclays is a multinational bank and it has different financial services, Barclays is a British
based band headquartered in London. This bank was founded on 17 November 1690. Besides
its investment banking business, Barclays bank offers four other types of investment like
personal banking, corporate banking, investment management and wealth management.
Barclay’s bank is a public organization. The Barclays bank operates in 50 countries and has more
than 144000 employees working for Barclays in worldwide. Barclays has an impressive no. of
clients that is 48 million worldwide.

1. PRIVATE ORGANIZATION
The private organization is that organization that works independently, without the
interference of the government is called the private organization. The organisation's sole
purpose is to earn a profit. This organization is run by the individuals or a group for the
purpose of earning the profit, the private organizations are more in number as compared to

other in every country as the organization does not require much finance and resources to
start. The organization can be started by the limited use of finance and technology. This
type of private organization helps the middle-class people to invest in small business and
earn a profit (Johnson et al., 2017).

Public Sector organisation is run by the government for the welfare of the people living in the
country. This organization works for the mass not for the individual with a purpose to provide
safety and security to the nation and their people like the military, hospitals, and different
government institutes. These types of an organization also generate job opportunities for the
country's people the public sector organisations large no of people are involved and the carry
out different work for the organisations (Van Dooran et al.,2015).
Example of this type of organisation is Barclays bank.

The voluntary sector is also termed as the community sector.This type of organisation is formed

to help the needy. With a purpose to serve the people and provide them with employment and
also help them by giving shelter. There are hospitals with free medical assistance (Mellor,
2018).

GROWTH OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
The business is growing internationally and very rapidly. The government policies for import
and export in very helpful for the growth of business in the international market. There are
various factors and opportunities for the growth of the international business like resources,
availability of the raw material low-cost labour etc. demand for the product and customer
requirement is one of the main factors of the international growth of the business markets (van
Dooren et al., 2015). In most of the developing countries, because of their limited resources
they are producing a similar product. This has led the domestic market saturated. Most of the
developing countries are helping other countries FDI and by other foreign policies are helping
for business growth. Use of technology is also one of the important factors of the growth of
international business (van Dooren et al., 2015).
Nowadays the business is no more restricted to the state boundaries but the business is going
global because of the advancement of the technology. The reduction of the trade barrier
between different countries and the relaxing policies are also helpful in an increase in the
growth of the international market. Advancement of the technology has helped businesses with
the help of internet that allows the businesses to know the demands and requirements of the
other countries (Mathews et al., 2016).

company was founded in November 1690. Apart from investment banking, the other services
that Barclays provides are personal banking, corporate banking etc. The Barclays bank is more
than 300 years old bank.
PRODUCT AND SERVICES
Barclays is one of the leading financial institutes of the UK. Barclays offers different types of
services other than banking that is, investment banking, wealth management, retail banking
and commercial banking services. Barclays is also listed in the London stock exchange and in
New York stock exchange. Barclays also provide a customized solution for the corporate
industries and advise them to invest in equity and raise its debt etc. Barclays provides mortgage
loan as 1.5 million people in the UK owns home because of Barclays (Maina, 2017).
SIZE AND SCOPE
Barclays adopt and flexible approach for the clients to share the knowledge for their investment
in a different field and offer them to expand their business to an international level. The total
no of employs working in Barclays bank is 47 thousand worldwide. The Barclays bank is working
in 50 different counties and has 4500 no of branches all over the world (Maina, 2017)

The vision of Barclays is to attain growth in the business environment and overcome the
challenges of the market and to offer the best services to the clients.
