success and growth. This can be achieved by the continuous motivation so that existing skill and
knowledge can be improved and new skills are achieved. The company chosen for this report is
Barclays Plc, an investment bank which is headquartered in London, United Kingdom. This
report shall cover the aims and objectives relating to talent management, project management
plan, primary and secondary research, its findings and at last the reflection report is also present.
TASK 1
P1. Project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario.
Talent management is defined as a procedure which is undertaken by companies to retain
the existing workforce and attract potential workers into the organisation so that they can
effectively contribute in achieving the goals and objectives of company. It is a constant process
where the employees are continuously motivated in order to enhance their performance and
encourage them to make improvement in their working. The talent management strategy is a type
of plan which involves managing the high quality workforce in order to ensure success of the
company. A researcher is appointed in the organisation Barclays Plc so that it can determine any
of the issues relating to talent management in the organisation together with its importance. The
main purpose of conducting this research is to identify the problems which the company is facing
so that a plan can be presented in order to solve this issue so that comp[any can retain its skilled
and knowledgeable employees. Another objective of this is to identify the advantages of
managing the talent. The aims and objectives of the present research in relation to executing this
research is narrated below-

is kept of it. The main objective of the plan is to deliver the details of project together with its
process so that the project can be undertaken. The components of the project in relation to
present research is discussed below-
Cost: It is the amount which will be utilised in completing the project by researcher. It is
a type of budget which shall be used in in order to carry out the research. For the present
research, the researcher shall require 2000 Pounds.

Time: In order to complete this research project, the researcher shall take the time of 3
months which shall begin from 1st January 2021 to 31st March 2021.
Resources: For completing this research successfully, the researcher shall require the
human resource, funds, and other resources so that it can achieve the research aims and
objectives efficiently.
Risk: There are many risk associated with this research which involves maintaining
privacy and confidentiality of the information provided by employees. Secondly the risk of
completing the research within time and budget allotted.

completion.
Work breakdown structure
It is a breaking down of work in hierarchy form. It helps the researcher or project
manager in planning, monitoring, controlling, reporting the project(Cosenz, 2017). Under the
work breakdown structure, the whole project is divided into many small components so that the
aims of the projects are achieved in an appropriate manner like the hierarchical form. With the
help of this, the work is easily managerial. In context to this research, the Work break down

It is one of the important tool that is the representation of all the activities in graphical
form where the activities are performed against the time(Gaudenzi and Siciliano, 2018). The
Gantt chart represents the visual representation in which the task is broken and displayed in the
chart against the time so that it can become easy on interpreting and understanding it. It
supports in planning and scheduling project in order to get update of each activity and resources

Research methodology is the method which mainly helps in the process of research and
refers to particular procedure which is used to gather the information which is reliable and
viable. Through the research methodology, the data can be easily implemented and analysed so
that objectives of the research are achieved(Rowden, 2017). For the purpose of analysis, the
researcher may choose the qualitative and quantitative research with the help of which the
researcher can analyse and implement the data easily.
Qualitative research- It analyses and collects the data by the method of interview and
observation as there is no involvement of numericals. It mainly involves in collecting the
information which is based on the opinion, experience and observation.
Quantitative research- It involves collecting the numerical data. In this, the researcher
uses many tools and techniques which can help in collecting the numerical data so that its
analysis is done in an appropriate manner.
Data collection- It is the method of collecting the data from the primary and the secondary
method of data collection. In primary method of data collection, the data is being collected by
framing the Questionnaire and personal interview. For secondary data collection methods, the
data us being collected from the books and journals, magazines, newspapers and the related
websites.
Primary data collection- The data is being collected from this method is the first handed
data which is mainly gathered from the researchers through questionnaire, interview,
observations ans survey etc. the data is mainly collected from the direct source and primary data
is considered.
