This essay provides an assessment of the population health in Barnet, a diverse London suburb. It highlights the increasing population due to migration, particularly from Asian countries, and an aging demographic. The essay emphasizes community profiling as a crucial tool for understanding the community's strengths and weaknesses, aiding in healthcare service planning and resource allocation. Key mortality causes, including circulatory diseases, cancer, and respiratory disorders, are linked to factors like smoking, alcohol consumption, poor diet, and obesity. Air pollution is identified as a significant contributor to premature deaths, especially from cardiovascular diseases, affecting vulnerable populations. The essay also touches upon the theory of demographic change and its relevance to the health challenges in Barnet, concluding that community profiling is essential for addressing the community's health needs and improving overall health outcomes.

INTRODUCTION
Health profiling deals with the process of understanding the health of the citizens along
with various factors that will influence their health. It includes having main purpose areas that
allows improvement and stimulates actions regarding the same. This essay is about assessing the
health profiling of Barnet population.
MAIN BODY
Barnet is a place in the London suburbs that was formed with the various parts of
ceremonial countries. It is at the boundaries of Hertfordshire district in the north and therefore,
has a large number of migrants living there. The local authority of Barnet is based in Coilndale.
The demographics of this community includes the population of more than 6000 where the living
is categories in farming and woodland. The number of population is increasing with the increase
in migrants and belongs to the non- white ethnic groups (Karstens, and et.al., 2018). The
migrants mostly belong from the Asian part of the world. There are number of people with the
age of 65 and their number is increased over three times than other groups. Barnet population is
highly diverse with black, Asian, and minority population. This community is attractive for
international migrants being over 50,000.
Community profiling is the process of identifying the strengths as well as weakness of the
community along with the problems associated with the same. It helps in making decisions
regarding the health care services to be provided to the community while also, allowing proper
justification of the resources that are allocated. It is used to analyse the results and collecting the
data from conducting a community survey. It helps in creating a combines picture of the
population of the given community. This profiling is useful in assessing the needs and
requirements of community that in turn will be used for the purpose of planning, delivering and
monitoring the community.
The main causes of morality within Barnet within all the genders include the diseases
related to circulation, cancer along with respiratory disorders. Some of the common causes
related to these health conditions include, smoking, high usage of alcohol, not having proper
food diet and obesity. In some cases this even leads to having premature morality.
Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of having premature morality for the population aged
below 75 years. This death rate is preventable. The health causes from air pollution includes

having pre mature deaths. The local community has experienced the burden of morality with the
rise in air pollution and having long term exposure to the same. There are a lot of premature
death rates as it disturbs the lung functions and generates various respiratory symptoms. It even
increases the asthma symptoms as well. The particulate matter from the air pollution results in
forming respiratory and cardiovascular diseases as smaller particles will deposit within the
respiratory tract. This air pollution acts as the cause of early deaths from having cardiovascular
diseases. It has severe impact towards the vulnerable people such as small children, elderly
people that has heart and lung diseases.
Theory of demographics change and response includes having the population pressures
that is determined with the help of responses and causes (Cai, and et.al., 2017). This theory is the
description of the changes within the patterns of morality along with growth rates within the
communities that move from one demographic to another. It can be seen that these health
conditions are found more in Barnet communities as there is high level of air pollution in the
area. With the majority of migrants living in the community, there are very less development and
initiatives taken to decrease pollution. Moreover, the people from this community are more
prone to activities related to smoking. This will affect their lungs and thus increasing the health
condition as well as its morality rate.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that community profiling is very helpful in identifying the needs and
demands of the community that is not under very developed state. It helps in determining its
health needs as well. Health assessing showed that this community has high morality rates due to
cardiovascular and respiratory disorders and the reason behind this is air pollution.
