followed by many businesses to achieve their goals related to environment and social contexts.
The application of sustainable practices in the businesses categories, society, agriculture and
personal life by maintaining them in a most effective way that will provide advantages to current
generations and future generations. The present report will be based on topic Bath Spa
University organization has a range of issues with estate overcrowding with private transport
(cars). The study will Explain and reference strategic approaches how the estates team might
encourage behavioural change and greater use of sustainable transport options. This is the major
issue seen in the organization because students and people coming their were struggling as there
was overcrowding areas.
Bath spa university is a public university in bath, situated in England provides varieties of
opportunities to students so that they can study in some of the most inspiring and excellent
spaces in the UK. The major focus of the university is to employ outstanding creative
professionals so that they can support their objectives and who aim to be a leading educational
institution in the world. This university is established in such a manner where creative minds
meet to study varieties of courses such as social sciences, business and science.

As we all know that in today's business world, sustainability play an important role so,
the company needs to always focus on sustainable business operations. It can be social,
environmental and cultural. If the company focus on sustainable business operations then they
can easily achieve sustainable goals in order to have healthy communities and manage
surrounding areas. Many companies are focusing on CSR practices, redesigning of products
reducing waste, managing transport and supply chain management (Purvis, Mao and Robinson,
2019). Business operational sustainability is a systematic method used by the companies to in
order to evaluate whether a business can maintain existing activities and practices without
placing future business related resources at risk.
In today's ever evolving business world, it is essential to have effective approaches and
consider a value driven approaches when developing business strategies can be an important to
long term success. As the university is overcrowded with private transport cars it can increase the

chances of pollution and harm the natural air and resources. Hence, it is necessary for university
to focus on sustainable business operations by using effective approaches such as energy
efficient, providing affordable modes of transport to students and building infrastructure in a
most effective way that it cannot lead to overcrowded areas (Gerner, 2019).
With the help of traditional model, the company can maximize its profits, focus on
maximization and improve competitive advantages. So, to improve sustainability through
modern model the company needs to focus on CSR practices that is corporate social
responsibilities. It is essential to follow sustainability rules and regulations made by the
government to support public in the organizations and support them in every aspect. For this they
need to focus on risk management means to reduce potential stakeholders relations risks to firm
by strengthening those relations. They need to focus on value creative by offering new
opportunity to create and innovate different kinds o values with internal and external
stakeholders. By having this CSR practices the university is able to maximize environmental and
social benefits and also helps the economy for growth and development (Nilashi and et.al.,
2019).. For this they must have transformation business models in order to innovate change
towards sustainable business operations. Innovation is the only way to redesigning of transport
facilities and parking areas spaces/ as sustainability can be a game changer, it can drive
innovation just by introducing new designing constraints that share the resources such as
domestic fuels, carbon and waste. Hence, in this way sustainable business operations can make
the organization a leader which helps students to achieve future success.
It is essential for university management team to understand the idea of leadership in
sustainability so that they can manage the transport issues. With the help of leadership the
university can easily maintain sustainable business operations which helps them to build trust
with stakeholders such as students, parents and teachers (Nilashi and et.al., 2019). As we all
know that if there is no leader then there is no direction available for achieve sustainable goals.
The leaders must adopt a charismatic personality so that it can help them to practice of
collaborative creativity. By having sustainable practices such as low and zero emission the
business can maintain sustainability in transport. Their are many problems faced because of the
transportation, so a reduction of the environmental impacts of transport such as private cars is a
likely strategy for sustainability in the university. As transport contributes to harmful emissions,
pollution, noise pollution and climate change (Villena and Gioia, 2018). This can harm the health

of people coming in the university which needs to be control by the management team. The
university must be focused on the sustainable business such as providing big space for parking
areas, offer electric buses to students, use of cycles which combine the benefit of green vehicles
with those of sustainable transport choices (Cowen, Gracey and Johnson, 2019). By taking steps
the university can improve the air quality in the areas surrounding the organization and also
reduce atmospheric pollutions. Sustainable transport facility consists of the efficient utilization of
existing resources in order to increase the mobility while positively affecting development of
economy, quality of people life and the preservation of the atmosphere and natural resources
such as air.
It is essential for university to create sense of urgency if they want to make any changes
related to transport service as it will help then to gain trust. Encouraging sustainability with the
support of CSR will helps to achieve goals.

transportation policy due to the occurring negative impact from m congestion and pollution. In
addition to this, there is higher level of the focus on the concern regarding health, social, etc
(Kumar, 2022). that is arising due to the higher transportation. There are different form of the
issues which are arising due to the higher number of the students who bring the car that inclines
the parking related concern. The particular company has been criticized for the two major
problems which involves delays & driver shortages. In addition to this, the particular firm is
facing the issue that the students, visitors and staff parks in the residual area which has the
impact in negative manner to the reputation of organization (Punja, 2021). The overflowing
parking is hampering the overall practices of the organization. It is important to give focus on
having the issue regarding the prevailing parking challenges.
These all has the adverse level of the impact on the congestion and pollution which is
hampering the health, social and environmental aspects. There are larger number of the staff and
students who come by their personal car that is leading the overflow which is affecting the

suitable pattern of culture. The main reason behind this is that there is adverse level of impact on
the overall processing is found which has the impact in negative manner. These all are leading to
the traffic related concern which has the overall impact on the working of the organization.
University has been criticized for the two major problems as discussed which involves
delays & driver shortages. In addition to this, the campus is facing the issue that the students,
visitors and staff parks in the residual area which has the negative impact to the reputation of
organization. The overflowing parking is hampering the overall practices of the organization
(Nilashi and et.al., 2019). It is important to give focus on having the issue regarding the
prevailing parking challenges. However, the university understand that commuting and business
related travel while important for the business has negative affects from pollution and
congestions. The university understands their responsibilities by seriously in order to provide
sustainability they focus on minimizing the social and environmental impacts of travels (Lennox,
Maher and Reed, 2018).
In order to end this impact, the university is promoting travel to and from the university
by non car modes for people such as students, visitors and employees working their
(Ögmundarson and et.al., 2020). They are focusing on reducing business travel by air, in order
to mitigate any harmful risks and mitigate unavoidable emission through socially positive
offsetting schemes. By doing, so they enhance students experience and give them guidelines
about importance of sustainability and offering them opportunities to learn about CSR practices
(Scoones and et.al., 2020). It is mandatory to develop on site residential accommodation in the
areas that have very high quality links to the university so that it can provide convenience. The
company is taking steps to encouraging car sharing for those people who came from same areas
by this they can easily preserve things. The management team are providing suitable facilities of
people using cycles at all the sites so it can help to save air quality. The university is also
increasing the provision of electric vehicles charging plugs to all the main areas of the different
campus nearby.

There are distinct form of the alternative business practices that are basically adopted by
the particular firm for the purpose of having the ability to overcome the prevailing issues
regrading the parking. The one of the crucial action that is basically exerted by the particular

firm involves promoting the travel to & from university by non car modes for students, staff and
visitors and reduced the movement with help of the personal vehicle. There is reduction in
business travel and mitigating unavoidable emission with the help of socially positive offsetting
scheme so that effective integration into students learning & experience can be provided. The
alternative action which involves mitigation the environmental impacts of overseas students
commuting via socially offsetting in the favourable pattern. In addition to this, for having the
developing on site residential accommodation where feasible & viable to reduce the travelling
of learners.

possesses to have higher quality links to the organization (TRANSPORT POLICY, 2022). This is
basically formulating the high public transportation facilities so that effective outcomes can be
offered. This involves having residing in bespoke student accommodation under the control of
the university other than those with disabilities from using the vehicle so that positive impact on
the overall performance can be achieved. Encouraging car sharing for those whom travel by
non car modes is not practical option (Jiang and et.al., 2021). There are distinct form of the
significant factor that is helping in achieving the significant approach to provide the suitable
facilities for cyclists at all sites so that inclining e provision for electric car charging points to all
main campuses so that continuous and relevant action for improving the significant action for
having higher effectiveness in overcoming parking issue.
There are distinct form of the alternative course of the significant action which is exerted
by the particular university involves having strategy of discouraging the car parking of single
occupancy use so that effective ability to decline the negative impact can be exerted (Sarkar and
et.al., 2022). In addition to this, for having the sustainable culture in the firm so that level of
effectiveness in overall strategy of eliminating environmental issues such as carbon foot print,
pollution, etc. There is implementing the U5 bus service that runs directly into Bath city centre.
This is associated with the having the effective staff so that proper utilization of the bus in
effective manner by possessing vehicle registration form in turn immediate ban from the parking
can be exerted so that accomplishing the objective of having the appropriate working scenario.
The main reason behind having the significant application of the proposed measure which
involves improved cycle facilities so that positively impact the objective accomplishment of the
organization. The other alternative firm of the action which are basically exerted by the

particular university for having the positively which comprises leaving the personal car at home
scheme, electric vehicle, new cycling information & promotion, etc.
On the basis of this it can be interpreted that particular organization has given emphasis
on having such course of action which can positively affect the overall processing of firm that
involves possessing the ability to overcome challenges so that overcoming the negative effect
offering practices (Purvis, Mao and Robinson, 2019). These are the rules and regulations which
are implemented by the university for the longer duration so that effectual results by overcoming
the prevailing negative impact. For having the sustainable transportation action the particular
university has given emphasis on possessing the action so that higher level of the impact in the
positive manner can be derived. From the evaluation of the provided information it can be stated
that the firm is having the major level of strategies that can assist in possessing sustainable action
which is capable of assisting in possessing the corporate social responsibility. It helps in
operating in the industry as successful organization by overcoming the prevailing challenges via
implementing alternative practice of executing suitable action.

 It is recommended to pay attention on implementing awareness regarding the
importance of overcoming the transportation challenges among all the stakeholders such
as students, staff, etc. the main reason behind this action is to have effective
improvement in action exerted by the stakeholders so that precise pattern of transporting
action can be implemented to have reliable practices in turn reducing the challenges can
become possible.
 This is suggested to implement feedback mechanism so that prevailing problem from the
users' perspective can be identified so that existing lacking areas can be eliminated to
have good course of action. The main fact behind this is to get the idea about the
prevailing actions results so that effectual action for the improvement can be applied.

awareness, etc so that positive impact can be derived.
