INTRODUCTION
The assignment is based on designing questionnaire which is the best method for
collecting data for any research. This study is about identifying the importance of questionnaire
and collecting the data for identifying the requirement of renovation.
MAIN BODY
Why questionnaire is a best method of data collection
Questionnaire is the best method of data collection as it helps in gathering the required
information through forming questions. This method is best than other forms of collecting data
as it helps in gathering accurate and reliable information by asking question to the people
(Krosnick, 2018). This method is beneficial as it is cost effective than face to face interviews. It
assists in gathering the useful information regarding by asking the questions which are required
for the research. Moreover, it offers quick response. This form of data collection assist in
comparing the results of different respondents which help in making decision.
With the help of questionnaire, the researcher is able to gather useful information which
assist in making the best decision. The Small B& B, in order to identify the renovation
requirement, can use the questionnaire method as it is the most effective way of identifying the
customer requirement by asking question to them and thus on the basis of this, renovation in B&
B can be made (Brace, 2018). The questionnaire provides the validity of information because the
response of the respondents is kept for future reference. It is primary source of collecting data
because it is not used from the published sources rather it is gathered by own as per the
requirement of data (Zheng and et.al., 2017). Questionnaire helps in identifying the taste and
preferences of the customer and helps in making effective decision on the basis of information
collected. B&B is going to make renovation for their premise and to identify what are the
requirement for renovation it is required to identify the wants and demands of their customers to
satisfy their demands which will helps the hotel making renovation. B& B by using

will helps in renovating the premise accordingly.

Data B& B needs to collect
B&B needs to collect the information for renovation that needs to be made on its
premises in order to increase the occupation rate of the rooms and simultaneously increase its
revenue as well. The data collection must involve the taste and preferences of the customers so
that the customers are more attracted towards the hotel. B&B needs to collect the information
regarding interior of the hotel (Silber and et. al., 2018). The room space, toilet, customer
requirement regarding getting accommodation facilities, etc. It is required to collect information
regarding the number of beds in the rooms required. Information regarding lobby, bath area,
lighting, designing the front areas or reception etc.
B&B, by collecting the information about different factors will help in increasing the
revenue of hotel by renovating the various areas. B&B by collecting the information regarding
renovation through use of questions regarding the renovation required will helps in making
changes in the premise to satisfy the customers demands. . The hotel must collect data regarding
the facilities which are required by guest by staying at hotel. This assist in making the decision
easy for renovation (Willis, 2015). Through questionnaire, B&B will be able to make good
changes in their hotel which assist in increasing their occupation rate. It will collect information
about the equipment required in the room to provide more facilities to guest (Farr and et. al.,
2017). It will also take the views customers regarding implementation of mobile technology for
unlocking room to provide more security and access to only guest to their rooms while their stay.

asking this question, B&B will be able to understand the security preferences of
customers. From this, B&B will be able to make decision whether smart technology
should be implemented or not.

linen bed are soft and thus by asking this question, B&B will be able to understanding the
requirement of beds in the hotel room.

area in the hotel for increasing their guest satisfaction. It will provide understanding to
B&B whether to make such areas or not to increase its profitability. The question is asked
in order to identify the requirement of customers regarding changing the daily used thing
such as towel etc.
The thematic analysis will be used to analyse and interpret the business data which will in
turn assist in making the effective decision. The basic data which is required for making the
decision is the response of the respondents on the questions framed which will help the business
in making effective decision regarding the renovation of premise.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has concluded that the questionnaire is the best method for data
collection as it provides better understanding regarding the research by asking question to those
for which the research is based.
