1TEAMWORK
The particular essay is focused on the examination of teamwork and its importance in
the tackling of several situations which cannot be handled by an individual. In this
connection, the particular paper is concentrated on examining the case study of a real-life
trauma that was caused to a soccer team including 12 boys and one of their coach, who was
trapped in the dreadful Tham Luang Cave. It was examined that the boys and their coach
went to explore Thailand's Chiang Rai province and in turn, got trapped (Crump 2018).
As analysed in the case study of the Thai Cave Rescue, it was examined that
teamwork is of crucial importance where a group of people are involved into any situation or
circumstances (Ghaferi and Dimick 2016). This statement can be proved by stating that the
case study critically highlighted how a group individual working together as a capable team
were successful in saving the boys out of the cave. The cave in which the group was trapped
in was dreadfully flooded, and in the initial of the scenario, no hope to save them were seen.
However, with the help of dozens of divers and several numbers of volunteers the boys and
the coach were rescued from the danger. This shows how a group of people working together
as a team can make wonders happen. Studies show that tracking the stuck people was getting
difficult because of the rise in the water levels as well as the strong currents, and there was no
connection with the victims for over a week. Thus, the rescue operation was expanded into an
extensive process amidst the interest of the public all across the globe. Supposedly, with the
efforts of the British divers, the boys and the coach were found alive on the edge of a high
rock. In this connection, many people joined hands together to save the kids and the coach
and make the impossible to be effectively possible. Studies show that the rescue operation
included a team of more than 10,000 people which included 100 divers, several rescue
workers, representatives from over 100 governmental agencies, 2,000 soldiers, 900 police
officers, seven ambulances, police helicopters, over 700 diving cylinders and people pumping
out more than a billion litres of water out of the dreadful cave. Thus, the precise pieces of

evidence mentioned in the study underline the importance of teamwork and how the
effective and efficient work of a team can make any wonders happen (Sarwar, Harris and
South 2017).
As examined by the case study that people from all across the globe had joined hands
to save the victims trapped in the cave. The success of the same was set as an example of
international teamwork and collaboration that had joined forces to rescue the group. In this
connection, the paper focuses on undermining the factors that led to the effectiveness of
international teamwork. Firstly, the desires and the hope that the team working for the
rescue of the soccer group had in their thought process. They carried the force of their will
and mindset along with the prayers of the world that they would make this rescue mission a
successful one. Secondly, the effectiveness and efficiency in the planning system and
decision making process of the team working together helped them to detail the needs of the
rescue operation and act accordingly to the planned goals and objectives to save the trapped
group. Thirdly, the specialists involved in the rescue operation led to the effectiveness of the
same. The different departments and crew people segregated for their specialised work
helped in the fulfilment of the determined task at the required point of time and helped to
achieve the success of the operation. Fourthly, the level of patience and perseverance that the
people rescuing the group had as well the group which was trapped had kept in their thought
helped in the achievement result of the same. The amalgamation of both the group finally led
to the success of the rescue operation and eradicated panic from their minds which were
essential for the group trapped inside the dreadful cave. Last but not the least, the concerned
case proved that in severe consequences like this, the team has to work with no expectation
towards earning some benefits but just to do good to the needy, only then is it possible to
achieve the severe consequences of a terrible condition. Sometimes a team has to work
without a self-purpose to get the desired effective result.

3TEAMWORK
As examined by the help of the examination of the concerned case of the Thai Cave
Rescue, it was analysed that the aspect of team learning played a vital role in making the
rescue mission a successful one. This is because the group of individuals that united together
to save the trapped soccer team collaboratively had put efforts and strategies to succeed in the
same. The large team of 10,000 people involved in the process of teamwork with a practical
understanding and the severance of the situation. They effectively learned the role of team
play and worked accordingly in order that their primary mission is achieved. Every particular
individual worked according to their expertise of work and leveraged their efforts in saving
the lives of 12 kids and their coach. The team had discussed and organised their part of the
work within the group before initiating the rescue mission. Thus, they worked for the same
without any selfish intention and conflicts. The role of team play in this connection fostered
better creativity in the implementation of the planning process for rescuing the victims.
Moreover, the team learning led to the blending of the trust, strength and will power between
the team members of their capability to save the needy. It also taught the huge team ways to
resolve conflicts while working together as a big group. This also provided the different
individuals with a sense of ownership within their internal self that they had to perform
effectively while being in a team and not the work of the group be affected because of the
negligence of any. Not only this, the competent team role learning fostered an absolute sense
and responsibility of risk-taking abilities within the individual and therefore the entire team.
Based on the course project prepared, the experiences which I gained by my
teamwork were both positive and negative. The positive learning which I experienced
through my collaboration was the maximisation of the involvement of several students and
the different thought process which helps in better understanding while working with the
project. The teamwork also leveraged an approach towards the shared information, and thus a
higher amount of information regarding the required information can be achieved. Moreover,

problem solving opportunities also increases. This is because if one team member of the team
is not capable or busy to solve the problem, another member of the group effectively does the
same. Moreover, the teamwork provides the more exceptional aptitude of working with
complex issues of the task allocated to the team as a whole (Babu, Suresh and Pariventhan
2017). It also provided our team with a faster way of finding solutions to the conflict that
occurs during the procurement of the project. I also recognised that the teamwork more inputs
of thoughts because of several minds interfered in the group and a higher level of creativity is
also fostered at the same moment. However, the negative aspects that were experienced were
the conflicts raised amongst the team members because of their different viewpoints. Few
team members where too stubborn to agree to the perspective of others. This resulted in chaos
in the teamwork and delayed the same. Moreover, the conflict in leadership opportunities also
occurs while working in a team (Ginnett 2019). Some team member had ego issues and were
not ready to undermine the guides set by the leader of the team and did things on their own.
This lead to disruption in the work process of the teamwork and the same was hampered.
However, this teamwork recognition also helped me in determining that learning about
teamwork and its pros and cons will help me in the future of my job or business
opportunities. The ideology of collaboration will help me in both ways, that is if I carry my
career as an entrepreneur or even as an employee. This is because the same helped me in
recognition of the importance of teamwork which would be needed to be fostered in the
future work I would deal with. Without the effective and efficient implementation and
process of teamwork, an organisation will never be able to achieve its desired goals and
objectives. This is because any organisation does not run with a single employee. The same is
known to deal with several numbers of employees working under one productive
organisation. Moreover, the experiences of the teamwork also will help in my present
academic process. This experience will let me work with my further educational team

projects in a better way. I will be capable enough of dealing with the team projects in an
effective and efficient manner. Moreover, the outcome gained by my further academic team
projects will prove to be an effective one as well.
