TASK 1
P.1 Analyse the influence of culture, politics and power on the behaviour of other in BBC.
(a&b)
In every organisation, a particular culture plays major role in context of employees’
behaviour of organisation. The power of the authorised person in organisation influences the
behaviour of others. As politics in organisation can make two groups or bring conflict situation
in organisation (Jones and Lloyd, 2015). BBC make their organisation difference from their
workforce.. As the culture influenced of the others behaviour on the basis of different culture
available in the organisation such as:
Task culture: Harleys handy suggest this model of culture, first he describe the task culture in
organisation which refers to the employees focus on the organisation task for the higher growth.
As the employees makes the culture from their effective working and that organisation will be
known for the task culture. BBC also focus on the task culture but they've the different style of
working policies which make their culture more effective as well the behaviour of other towards
organisation is better.
Person Culture: the employees of the organisation have the effective to give more priority to
the work rather than personal life. They think organisation is more important than their personal

life. BBC is needs such employees as they are focus on the task culture and the influence of the
person culture is less in BBC.
Role Culture: In roe culture each and every individual have the roles and responsibility been
given by the organisation. As per the plans thee have to perform their duties for the particular
work. In BBC the role culture have influence more on the behaviour of the other as employees
know their roles and responsibility.
Influence of the culture: As the organisation will bring the various culture which makes the
better behaviour in each and every individual. As in the BBC the culture will influence to the
organisation with positive manner. The more the employee will focus on the task BBC achieve
their organisation objectives. It is the responsibility of the newly appointed director have to take
various decision to change the organisational task.
Influence of Power: In every organisation, their key decision will be taken by the higher
authoritative of the organisation. As in BBC then power on the hands of the chairperson of the
organisation. The power will influence the employees as some decision bring the conflicts
situation in the organisation (Luthans, 2015). But sometime it is the power only to make the
organisation more better with the more serious decision for the organisation.
Therefore culture have been emerging in BBC is task and person culture as the employee will try
do everything of the organization as per the smith review the organisation need some changes so
that the culture will be more better in BBC.
Influence of the Politics: In every organisation politics have influence on the organisation
culture as well the decision of the key person is also important to maintain the relationship with
employees. . Also, it bring the other employees to not able to work in organisation. In BBC, such
things will not be acceptable s the chairperson will try solve the problems each and every
individual with better solution.
From the above discussion it can be easily understand that influence on individual power,

mostly focuses on motivation with better understanding of their behaviour part and other aspects
which are hindrance in their life. Different psychologists suggest theories to motivate employees
such as:

needs fulfil by then organisation. Some of the needs are:
Physiological needs: For every individual these are the basic needs in their life that is,
food, shelter and other biophysical need which gives comfort in during work and

organisation as they have to perform different functions as they potential and
competency.
The maslow theory will improve the BBC organisation if they try to focus to fulfil the
employees needs and try to motivating them by providing the different needs. Also it will benefit
for the employees to develop the better coordination with organisation culture and value system.
The theory have been easily helpful to fulfil the different needs of the BBC and employees will
be motivated on the basis of above theory.
Frederick Herzberg: He suggest the two factor theory of the motivation as the each and every
employees focus on some other benefit form the organisation. As they need better compensation
or respect from the organisation (Dewett, 2007.). As per herzberg two factor theory in context of

BBC it is describe that the BBC have to focus on some following things to motivate the team to
achieve the organisation gaols. Such as:
Achievement: If any employee had been made some achievement for the organisation by
performing the different role and responsibility given the organisation can b the motivation
factor for them as they try work hard if organisation will give better responsibility to such
employee (Griffin and Moorhead, 2009).
Recognition: if the achievement have been made by the employees to achieve the organisation
objective it is the responsibility of the organisation to recognised the employees in front of other
member soi that they feel motivate and also others will try to get the recognition next time by
performing better in organisation.
Responsibility: if the organisation will give higher responsibility to the employee those who are
performing already well and their contribution is important for the organisation goals they have
to give better responsibility and some of the decision power to change the organisation.
Work itself: if the organisation will give some flexibility the employee they feel some value in
organisation. it will be benefit to motivate factor from them to achieve the organisation goals.
The motivation will be done on the basis of content theory which can be helpful to enhance the
performance of employees in the BBC.

generally depends on the different division such as human resource, marketing and
operations team. These all work together and form a better organisation to achieve the
organizational objectives.
Problems solving: it is the common if the organisation have different operation to
perform and the employee may face the some problems or organisation may be in
problems occurring such situation in team Wil not be think more and try solve the
problems in between the particular task.
Project team: this types of team will be form for the particular project. As the objective
have been fulling than this project team will be abolish. In BBC many project have been
assign the project team which is important for the growth of organisation,.
Virtual team: this type of the team is not visible in organisation but they have been
performing many roles for the organisation as the research and development team who
work for the back inside of the organisation.
Some of the situation is important to effective cooperate with others such as:
Identify the outcomes objectives of the project you're working on with others: if the
employees or individual will focus to find the outcomes objective to cooperate in the
project which they've to work with other. If the employees are n to able to coordinate
with the others than it might be possible that the team performance can be decrease.
List potential roadblocks in between working effectively: if the team is working with
the common project then it responsible of the team to find the blockage of the project that
will benefit to effective cooperation during the project otherwise the conflicts situation
may arise. So to avoid such situation it is necessary to effective cooperative among the
team in organisation required.
Define the roles as team leader and distribute the task: if the team had already set and
now it is to team leader to define the role and responsibility given to the individual in
particular project so that the effective co-operation can be made and every one will work
to achieve the objectives.

Regular meeting with others: If the management will regular meeting with the
employees in organisation make the effective cooperation's among the employees and
BBC. Also the communication gap can be arise and the clear picture will be describe in
front of the employees. also they can understand the problem of the organisation.
Listen the problems of the others: In every organisation employees are not satisfied with
the decision of organisation have been taken for the improvement as well to achieve the
organisational objective in time (Oshagbemi, 2016.). That might be situation where the
conflicts may arise and in such situation management have to listen the problems of the
employees. sometime the employee internally not happy with the behaviour of individual
person van be the situation where the working environment can be affected and the
effective cooperation with other cant be possible form-such situation they have to listen
that individual problems. So that any training if required organisation can conduct for
behaviour training to solve then issue of such person.
The effective and ineffective team have the different traits-in the BBC which can be either foster
for the organisation or hindrances. This team will brings the low productivity in the BBC. The
following different can be analysis in the effective and Ineffective team such as:
Effective team:
Open discourse – individuals take an interest and make commitments to the gathering, with the
exchanges being sensible, and individuals being set up to tune in to and gain from other
gathering individuals.
Achieving a choice by a procedure of persuading individuals by consistent contention, instead of
unrefined voting which can leave a size-capable minority disappointed.
Ineffective team:
Ineffective Teams – People do not really listen to each other. Ideas are ignored and over-ridden.
Decision Making:Actions are taken prematurely before the real issues are either examined or
resolved.

Leadership: Leadership remains clearly with the group chairperson. He or she may be weak or
strong but always sits ‘at the head of the table.
Give better feedback and avoid the arguments: it is important to the management to
give better feedback to team according to their performance.
To make effective team in BBC can be more significant by the Tuckman and Jensen's model
have five stages of team development such as:
Forming: In this stage team will be from with an objective and more responsibility from
leader side has to perform to give direction to the team. In forming stage, the individual
role and responsibility in not clear and the leader have to handle better at this stage to
develop the team.
Storming: This the second stage of team development as decision are not coming easily
form the team members. for getting better result team has to work hard at this stage. As
the leader have to motivate tom boost the performance of team.
Norming: this the third stage of the team development and the more conflicts situation
have been arise for the leader role and responsibility or any other issue may arise at that
stage will be hindrance to achieve in organisational objectives.
Performing: After norming stage the team will be at the fourth stage that is perform
stage where the team will focus to perform to achieve organisational objective.
Adjourning: it is the last stage of the Tuckman team development mode as it suggest
that the work have been complete successfully as they are satisfied with their
contribution towards to achieve the organisational objective.
Task 4
P.4 Philosophies of organisational behaviour within BBC.
In every organisation some of the philosophies will be emerging form he organisation
behaviour better Included be in the employees performance or in different operation in which the
organisation need consider to bring more better situation a the organisation. In BBC employees

have the different perception towards the higher authoritativeness they are in participative in
decision making process. The various philosophies of the organisation behaviour will be the
based on the different aspect of the management such as autocratic, custodial, supportive,
collegial and system In such situation then conflict have been arise and the BBC need to solve
this problems with some of the theory which can be easily change the organisational behaviour
such as:
Path Goal Theory: it is the leadership style theory in which the set of b behaviour of the leader
to perform the organisation task. leader will choose best employee to complete the task and make
the working environment more efficient and effective. while the path there is not an detailed
process they have decide in particular step such as:
To determine the employees and environment traits: For every organisation it
important to determine the traits of the employees such as attitude and behaviour towards
the work will be more positive (Rubinstein, 2001). Also, the leader have to focus on
needs of the employees so that they feel motivate.
As such the environmental trait in organisation is also important aspect for more better
performance in team as well to achievement organisational objectives:
Design of the task: BBC leader have to design the task for team so that team will know the
direction of the objective. If the task is not design then the role and responsibility will not be
clear.
Formal authority system: Leader has to give some formal authority to the team as they have to
participates in some decision during the particular task.
Work group: if the team are not able to support than the leader has to take the particular
decision and bring the team to common path.
To select a leadership style: BBC have the better management but an effective
leadership style can b e helpful to achieve the organisational gaols with the right team.
Leader have to task orient style as the employee will achieve the organisational gaols
with their leader. There are four types leader behaviour according to the path theory such
as directive,

supportive: in such behaviour of leader they will supportive and try to motivate during
task with team to motivate them.
Participative: such types leadership behaviour will participate in tasks well give
direction to the team for better outcomes.
Achievement: this type behaviour from them leader want to achieve their extra
contribution from the team sol that team will be rewarded.
Focus on motivational factors that will help the employee succeed: it is important for
the organisation as well the leader to focus on the motivation factor for the more better
performance from the team as thy have to give some reward and recognition form their
extra achievement in organisation.
The main barriers to effective performance within the BBC have been find that the
communication gap has been arise in between the management and the employees as the
employees are not happy with decision of the management. But BBC has to take a call against
the employee so that employees will be focus on their work. As the BBC try solve such situation
by giving responsibility to the new director in organisation for more improvement at BBC group.
The behaviour of the top management are responsible for not able to maintain the organisation
behaviour which is most important for the employee’s performer as well for organisation. Also
some issue regarding employee compensation and work load have been found as barriers in
effective performance within BBC.
CONCLUSIONS
From the repost organisation behaviour it is concluded that the basic needs of employees are
important and the path goals of the leadership style will help to boost performance of the team as
well as of the organisation. For the team development stage of Tuckman theory is important as
the every stage the team is getting some of output for organisation which is either de-merits or
merits for organisation objectives. The functional and project team in BBC is important s they
have the main role form the front as well the backside of the organisation. It is important to make
