organisation, Full name of BBC is British Broadcasting Corporation. It is the largest broadcasting

London, UK. This report includes culture politics and power and their influence on the BBC
organisation. Motivation affects an individual and a team for achieving a goal, role of content and
process theory to achieve goal of BBC and how this organisation can improve the motivation level,
importance of different type of teams in the organisation, models of team development, role of
performance theory to achieve the goal.

knowledge. A group of individuals who want to work in decision making process and who has

b What are the barriers to effective performance within the BBC -
Ignoring interaction- there are many employees working in the BBC who are not familiar
with each other and think about other. And they don't have the co-optive of nature. So some times it
is very difficult to work with them because they are not of supportive nature of person in BBC.
Many times managers and employees does not co operates with each other it can because of barriers
of effective performance.
Culture communication- Culture communication is the main barrier to affect any
organisation. Many employees in the organisation with different cultures and religions and some
employees do not think about it but some people think about the religion to talk with any person. It
is not good for the organisation because without effective communication no one can achieve its
target and goal (Miner, 2015).
Feedback- Feedback plays an important role in effective working of employees in
organisation. If the employees give feedback to each other according to their work and help them to
And shows a right path to them. A leader creates a friendly environment in the company. As its
name is showing the mean of supportive leadership where a leader have all the quality of problem
solving of employees in BBC. A supportive leader always works for reduce the stress and
frustration of employees. A company with flat organisational style use supportive leadership in the
organisation.
Directive leadership- this state is all about to suggest therm about their schedule for a
specific work which to be done in a specific time. That what are the strategies to do work in a
particular time. Directive leadership focuses on completing the task and objectives in proper
manner. They are the leader who sets the objectives for the organisation and motivate employees
for work well in the organisation.
Participative leadership- this state is all about to talk with employees of BBC. And task the
ides about the problem. and making particular decision. This approach is good where all the
employees can share their ideas and advise to take a decision. In this leadership style the employees
are free to telk with the leaders and tell them about the problems and issues which faced by them in
the organisation(Miner, 2015).
Achievement oriented leadership- It is approach where set the challenging goals for the
work and self improvisation. In this leadership style the managers give the challenging tasks to the
employees to know about their skills and their capacity. Through this leadership style the employees
can achieve their target and help the organisation to make competitive advantage.

Need of unity- there are many employees in BBC who does not take a participation in the
functions, meetings of the company. They do their work on own ways' ad stipulation. So the need of
unity or required for the battlement in production.
Need of proper schedule- some employees are not punctual about their time. So their less
contribution has seen.
Clarity of roles and expectations-sometimes employees does not understand about the
responsibilities just because of the clarity about their roles so it can be a beerier to perform
effectively.
Incentives- it can be a cause of barrier in effective performance. BBC does not provide
rewards for the performance of employees. Sometimes intensives goes beyond the expectations by
compare to another employees. So it could be a barrier for BBC.
Social capital theory- According to social capital theory the factors like interpersonal
relations, share sense of identity, share understanding impact on the performance of BBC. In
the organisation these all things crate barriers. The employees of BBC not shared any
information or idea to anyone and it creates barrier because only a few employees know

ideas to anyone. Trust is also an important part in the organisation because without trusting
