Operational Plan
The main purpose of the assessment is to analyse the business of BBQ Fun which is
engaged in manufacturing business of products. The company is considering an expansion plan
for introducing an e-commerce system which would be enhancing the sales revenue of the
business. In order to effectively manage the new proposal and effectively implement the same,
the management of the company would be requiring an operational plan (Chae, Olson and Sheu
2014). The operational plan is being formulated considering the policies and practices which are
currently followed in the business. The policies and procedures of BBQ Fun aims at promoting
the best practices in the business which would aid the e-commerce facility which the
management of the company wants to implement in the business. The operational plan would be
developed in such a way that the same effectively portrays the physical resource requirements
and additional human resources which would be required for ensuring that the activities of the
business can be handled efficiently.
Development of Operational Plan
The operational plan needs to be formulated by the management of the company in such
a manner that aims and objectives of the business are fulfilled. In the case of BBQ Fun, the
management of the company is planning to enhance the scale of operations of the business for
which the management aims to introduce e-commerce facilities in the business operations

Resource Requirement
In order to initiate and implement the e-commerce facility, the management of BBQ Fun
needs to have access to resources which can be used for developing and maintaining the e-
commerce facility. These resources include both physical resources, monetary resources and
human resources. The financial resources would be the responsibility of the finance manager and
estimation of how much fund will be required for the project would be suggested to managers of
the business in the form of a budget.
Human Resources Requirement
In order to effectively establish the operations of the business, the management of the
company would be requiring more efficient employee as the business is shifting its sales
operations to online system. Therefore, it is imperative that the personnel who are recruited
needs to have through knowledge regarding the online system and software and also need to

Monitoring the Operations
The monitoring and control over the activities of the business would be done by the
operation manager of the business. The operation manager would be reviewing the plans of the
business and also check the implementation of the process. The operation manager would also be
keeping an eye on the resource utilization of the business for estimating whether the same is
being carried out according to the budget which was formulated by the business. In addition to
this, the operation manager would also be setting targets so that effectiveness of the online
