Introduction
Yes Chemist is a company that provides pharmacy services to various major cities in
Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and others. While the
company started with modest beginnings as a family run business, the rapid growth of the
company allowed them to grow beyond family control and develop as a fully fledged
business organisation. However, the internal operations of the company did not change
much along with the growth – they have no properly developed IT system and most of their
internal operations are executed manually. Hence, in order to solve these problems and
enhance the internal operations, the company has decided to implement SAP in their
business – their proposed SAP package is SAP S/4HANA for SAP Business All-in-One that
will help them replace the existing manually operated HR, accounting and inventory
management systems.
The objective of this report is to develop a suitable plan and roll out strategy for Yes Chemist
that they can use for deploying the proposed SAP package.
Project scope
The scope of the project mainly includes the deployment of the proposed SAP package that
will allow the company to replace the existing manually operated HR, accounting and
inventory management system.
In order to develop the scope, the main assumptions that have been made are as follows.
 The SAP package will solve the current issues with the system and will help Yes
Chemist to become competitively active again in the market.
 The current staff at the company will be able to operate on the SAP system with
some basic training that will be delivered after the project.
Business case
The proposed implementation of SAP will have a wide range of business related benefits
that will help the company in enhancing the market competitiveness. There are some
benefits and some dis-benefits of the system that are listed in the following table.
