Introduction
A proper background analysis of the entire project will be performed. This will help in
better understanding of the scenario. Project management theories that have been used during the
commencing of the project is also stated in the essay. A proper discussion regarding the
contributions I have made in the project will also be made. The experience that I have gained
during the completion of the project is also discussed in the essay.
Background
A renovation project has been performed that is located in the branch side. The condition
of the cottage was not livable. Airbnb wanted to use the cottage for the rental purpose. The main
motive of Airbnb was to make the cottage ready for accepting rental orders for the purpose of
vacation. The budget that was provided for completion of the project is $ 20,000. I have to
perform the entire planning part along with my group. This essay is mainly related with the
experience I had and the contributions I had made in the project. Proper discussions regarding
the benefits that I will be getting due to the experience that I have gained during the execution of
the project also has been a major aspect of the project.
Linking theories with experience
The theories that are considered for execution of the renovation process includes theory
of project. as per the theory of project I have learnt that the steps that are important includes
performing sufficient amount of work must be performed in a regular and unnecessary works
must be avoided. The work that is performed must be performed as per the scope of the project.
the scope of the project is determined as the commencing of the Work Breakdown Structure of
the project. usage of the theory of management is also what I have learnt during this experience.

According to the theory of management I have learnt that a single project can be divided among
initiation, planning, execution and controlling of the project. This ensures that the management
of the project will be performed as per the central idea that was generated and the task is
performed in a closed loop manner.
As per the theory of planning, proper planning of the project will be performed in a
manner that the structuring of the plan is present. The structuring part is performed as per the
commencing of the project under the heading of the core process of planning. The core processes
include scope planning, activity sequencing, scope definition, resource planning, activity
definition, activity duration estimating, schedule development, cost estimating, cost budgeting,
and project plan development.
After performing the theory of planning, theory of execution is what I have learnt during
the execution of the project. According to the theory of the execution, I have learnt that the initial
step that is requited to be implemented includes authorization of the plan that is made. The
execution process starts only after the plan get authorized. The 2 main steps that are performed in
this system includes decision making and communication among the stakeholders during the
execution of the project. implantation of classical theory of the communication is implemented
and I have also learnt about the theory of controlling. As per the theory of controlling the ain
aspect that is taken inti consideration includes better understanding of the standard of the
performance and setting a standard before hand. This ensures that better processing of the
performance is performed.

Contribution
The role that I have played in the project is vital. I was acting as the driving point of the
project. I was involved in developing of the project schedule. This ensures that the activities that
are performed in the project is decided by me and stated by me. Planning phase, execution phase
and the controlling phase was described in a way of activities as per the requirement of the
project. with the help of the project scheduling, risk matrix can be performed. the cost that is
incurred in the completion of the project is also made by me via the schedule that I have
designed. I had performed rigorous research that helped me in bettering the processing of the
management system. This ensures that better commencing of the project gets performed. I have
also performed the RACI matrix. I have also performed the activity node diagram that will help
in understanding of the network diagram.
Experienced
I have a very fond experience of the project. I can say that the experience that I have
gained while execution of the project have been very learning. This particular project helped me
in bettering the concept of the project management. the theories that I got accustomed with
during the completion and execution of the project will help me in bettering the processing of
project management in future projects. This is one of the major reasons that proper management
of the project will get easier for me. I have also cleared the issues that I previously had regarding
the designing of the project schedule and how the schedule is made. This clear concept in the
schedule designing will help in bettering to process of the business management in future. Hence
this will act as a boost to my career. I have also learnt the techniques of analyzing skills of the
workers. With the help of the skill analysis the main advantage that is gained includes the fact

that proper allocation of the project will be made. This ensures that proper management of the
execution phase can be performed by me.
Conclusion
The main motive of the project is to perform renovation for a cottage that is based on the
beaches. The condition of the cottage was not worthy and hence it was not in a livable condition.
Provisioning of strategies are the main aspect that is taken into consideration. This includes the
fact that better management of the renovation will be performed in case the strategies that will be
implemented are planned before hand. I have gained knowledge regarding the different tools
and theories of the project management.
